Get ready for some fun and learning! Our historian and guide will begin with exploration of the North beach and Savannah river as it was used by the indigenous of the Island 600 years ago. The tour offers stories and lore to recall the charms and whimsy of the island as she passed through indigenous, pirates, early English settlers, and now into modern days. The often overlooked North End Tybee holds a rich history about the settlers as well as military with the historical value and tales of Fort Screven. History rich, brought to life by enthusiastic host. You are taken by golf carts around tybee, but at a safe speed with careful drivers.
We thoroughly enjoyed this tour today! Jaqueline was our tour guide and Eleanor was our driver. They were both knowledgeable, funny and nice. We always did tours in Savannah so we were excited to do one on Tybee. So glad we did! We learned so much! Highly recommend!
Our guide knew so much history about Tybee Island! It was incredible! She was very knowledgeable, super friendly, and very open to questions and always knew the answer!
Overall, the tour was enjoyable. The guide was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and gave us a great look at the local side beyond the typical tourist spots. I only wish we had visited the beach; walking out there briefly would have been worth it. Touring an island without seeing the water felt a bit unusual. That said, she did show us a great fishing spot, which would have been a nice discovery if we were staying on Tybee.
Thank you for your feedback. We would absolutely love to show everyone the ocean, but those sand dunes really keep us from seeing much. We are lucky that we get all of the interior marsh water to share with our guests. Being that we are on Golfcarts, most guests are booking with us because of the mobility. Sometimes guests are not capable of walking on the boardwalk, so to be mindful of everyone we keep everyone on the cart sharing the water whenever we get the chance. Next time you come to the island, consider taking a private tour and excursion where we can take you to many other places on the island that you and your party have the capacity to walk and explore with me as your guide.
A great tour with a knowledgeable guide. We learned a lot about the island and saw some places that we would not have seen or learned about. It was a good time.

I don’t usually give reviews, however this tour required one. What’s to say about this tour? An intimate family friendly informative tour. Tybee has so much rich history. And this tour left nothing out. I’m still amazed at the breadth of information that didn’t seem overwhelming. This is a must “todo” if you are anywhere close to tybee. You will not be disappointed.

Not as expected. To hot this time of year. Thought it would be fun,or enjoyable.Not at all. Do not go. But the young lady that did the tour was very knowledgeable and she was very nice. she did her best.
