Easy, informative and inclusive

We especially enjoyed several aspects of this tour. This is our second tour purchase, and both have been informative, concise, and thoughtfully inclusive. We appreciated the holistic approach to history that highlights the contributions and experiences of people beyond just white male figures. The flexibility was another highlight. We could pause, rewind, pick up where we left off, and listen to the “Learn More” sections when time allowed. It gave us a cohesive overview while also helping us get to know the city simply by walking through it. There are also optional stops if you want to explore even more. It took us two days to complete the tour since the first half alone is over three miles. We love that we can move at our own pace instead of following a group and potentially missing parts of the narration. Next time, we’d bring earbuds so we could each listen comfortably. 🎧

Operator response

Katy, I’m really glad to hear that this was your second tour with me and that both felt informative, concise, and inclusive. It means a lot to know that the broader, more holistic approach to history stood out to you and helped make the experience more meaningful. I’m also happy that the flexibility worked so well for you—being able to pause, rewind, continue later, and use the “Learn More” sections when time allows is exactly what I want my tour to offer. It’s wonderful that walking the city over two days helped you get to know Savannah more personally. If you're craving more Georgia adventures, don’t miss my Savannah Ghost Tour or the Atlanta Self-Guided Walking Tour—packed with stories and the same flexibility you loved!

The guide worked. Just...

The guide worked. Just needed a warmer day! It was in the low 40’s with winds off the river—not the best day to do a walking tour outside.

Operator response

Rebekah, I am glad to hear the Historic Savannah self-guided walking audio tour worked well, even if the weather didn’t cooperate. Low 40s with that river wind can be brutal, but Savannah really shines on a warmer, calmer day. Thanks for the review, and I hope you get a chance to revisit and enjoy the walk in better conditions!

Wonderful interactive app!

As we strolled through historic Savannah, this app gave us pertinent information regarding the sites we visited as we visited them. Although the app provided directions for a walking tour, we used it as we casually strolled through historic Savannah. The app was fully interactive with our current location. By downloading the app ahead of time and familiarizing myself with it, I was able to view the storyline, preview the sites, and listen to the audio or read the text. Since I have access to the app for 1 year, I reviewed the information again on our way home from Savannah & intend to use it on a revisit. Well worth the investment and the few minutes of time acquainting myself with it! Thank you!

Operator response

Elizabeth, I’m so glad to hear you enjoyed exploring historic Savannah with my Self-Guided Walking Audio Tour. It’s wonderful that you took advantage of the app’s offline access and interactive features, and I love that you revisited the stories afterward as well. I’m delighted it added depth and flexibility to your stroll through the city. Too Confusing and Incorrect

This claims you can start from anywhere and it will find you and pull that up, however, not true. We tried to use it in several spots and it was always on a different number and not giving information on what we were in front of. Save your money and get a map and use that. We saw more people trying to make it work and everyone we saw was frustrated also. Totally not worth anything.

Operator response

Julie, sorry to hear about the confusion. The tour allows you to start anywhere along the route, but it must be completed through the app’s map—not by visiting random sites. It sounds like the app may have been connected to another audio or music app, which can block playback. I also include a tutorial video to help set up the tour easily. I’m available daily from 9 AM to 6 PM EST if you’d like assistance. No worries—your tour is valid for a whole year, so you can use it anytime. If not, please contact me for a replacement or refund.

Maybe next time

I really can’t rate this one. I paid for snd downloaded it, but never used it. The cod area is lovely and we ended up just walking around with a free map from the visitor’s center.

Operator response

Anita, thanks for trying my Savannah Walking Audio Tour—even if you didn’t use it this time. I hope you’ll give it another shot on your next visit: the tour is valid for a full year. My app works offline, includes plenty of stories with a “Learn More” option at each stop, and features a handy “Near Me” tool for nearby restrooms, restaurants, gas stations, and more—much more than a simple map. If you’d like to explore a different destination instead, I can also provide a replacement tour. Just reach out—I’m available daily from 9 to 6 EST—and I’ll help you get set up. I’d love to hear about your experience using it!
