Highlights of Brazilian History and Culture Half-Day Tour

Description
The main differential is the face-to-face tour guides. We believe in communication as a way of connecting and exchanging knowledge and expectations. It is not a tour to expose one's knowledge. It is a tour to generate connection and make exchanges between human beings, taking advantage of everything around us to make it happen. So, we work in the study not only of buildings and spots, but also of local behaviors, expressions and peculiarities and much more

Itinerary
The meeting point will be at the Municipal Theater, located at the Cinelândia Square. Other points of interest are the Fine Arts Museum, the National Library, the City Council. We´re talking about all of them from outside, conecting the place to the Rio de Janeiro's history
After knowing the stories behind the colurful staircase, we´re checking it out, having time to take some pictures
I will reveal to you several stories hidden in the structure and details of the oddly shaped cathedral
You will enjoy one of the most beautiful cafes in the world. Inaugurated at the end of the 19th century, at the height of the Brazilian belle époque, it has a beautiful art nouveau salon, where I will show you a little of our patisseria
This square is a kind of time machine, because it take as back as far as the beggining of the colonization of the city, including the first settlement in Rio. Around it, we have buildings that date from the 17th century to the present days, including an Imperial Palace and the church where we had the coronation of a king of Portugal and two Brazilian emperors

Daniela is a great guide. She gave me an opportunity to learn about the local art culture which I wouldn’t have been able to access without her guidance. If you are interested in supporting the local grassroots art culture, then this is the tour for you. Allow for plenty of time if you like taking your time appreciating the art or would like to purchase some pieces.
I only had 48 hours in Rio and I have never been to Brazil before. I booked a day private tour from my hotel and I’m so glad I did that! Daniela is an amazing guide. She’s very knowledgeable and personable. She made my super short trip to Rio so much fun.
We had two incredible days with Dani. As a family of 5 she arranged a large enough vehicle for our tours so we could all be comfortable. On day one we visited Tijuca forest. It’s huge. But Dani showed us all the right places. We hiked the Pedra Bonita trail, visited waterfalls, walked Parque Lage, stopped at several overlooks, ate at an authentic restaurant in the forest, and finished with a visit to Christ. Dani had everything organized and we were able to just enjoy ourselves. On Day 2 we did the historic and culture tour of Santa Teresa and Centro. Dani was such a wealth of knowledge. We learned about the real Rio, its history and cultural significance and stopped at so many nice little places that we would have never found on our own. I would recommend Dani to anyone wanting a dedicated, warm and enthusiastic guide that will customize any tour to your interest. And she also arranged airport transfer!!
We actually booked 4 full days with Daniela. We couldn’t have been happier for our time and experience. She tailored each day to suit, she was prompt and so knowledgeable. Huge thank you for the best experience we could have hoped for.
Our guide was very enthusiastic about her culture and nation. She was informative, helpful and a very lovely person. She made the tour delightful. I would highly recommend this tour.
Look no further if you want to see the real Rio! Daniela is not only knowledgeable in history, politics and contemporary culture, she is humorous, a great story teller and gives a very personal experience. Could not recommend her more
