Itinerary
The Art Depository (Mirror) of Boijmans Van Beuningen, along with other places in the Museum District. Here you will learn about all the museums and the Land of Hoboken.
In the Maritime District you will find many centuries-old ships, the last of their kind. We’ll walk through this open-air museum, and you’ll feel like you’ve gone back in time!
Het Scheepvaartkwartier (the Maritime Quarter) is a hidden gem outside the city center; a place that many Rotterdamers do not even know. Here you will experience the feeling of openness and spaciousness of this beautiful port city! From the banks of the Maas River, you can see the New York Hotel, Rotterdam Steam and Erasmusbrug.
The Erasmus bridge is the big white bridge, crossing the river Meuse (Maas) and connecting north to south. It is an icon to the city and here you will hear all about the Second World War, the invasion, and bombardment of Rotterdam.
One of the most important statues of the city of Rotterdam in connection with the Second World War, in 1940 Square, with much significance and history.
The White House is a historic icon and used to be the tallest office tower in Europe.
The Old Port is one of the oldest ports in the Netherlands and also very welcoming! From here, we have a great view of the Cube Houses, which we will see up close at our next stop!
Cube Houses are perhaps one of the most famous tourist spots in the city. You will learn all about why, how and its architecture. You will walk through the "concrete forest" on your way to the market square.
After visiting the market square, we will finish the tour inside Markthal. This made Rotterdam even more famous, and it is a modern indoor market with lots of food and colors! We also call it our modern Sistine Chapel, and you’ll find out why!

I had underestimated this destination, but it was a great discovery! Itzel was fantastic!!! Tour in Italian full of curiosities and details; she also shared a lot about Dutch culture and not just the history of the city, although it was very interesting. She definitely added that extra touch of magic. The tour is highly recommended, and personal praise to her!
I have lived in Rotterdam for 1 year and on this tour I learned things I could never have known, she was a very attentive guide with a very good sense of humor, she knew very interesting facts about the city and she took us to places you would not normally see as a tourist. Super recommended to know Rotterdam for real.
We toured the main points of the city and, despite the heat, Itzel managed to make the experience very pleasant. Always with a smile, he answered all our doubts and gave us excellent recommendations. Thank you, Itzel, for your good vibe and for making the tour so special!
Hola Carla, Thank you very much for the kind words about the tour and Itzel. We are thrilled to read you have had a good time in Rotterdam with Itzel. Thank you for coming, and hopefully see you again soon! Kind regards, Yoreh
We did the walking tour with Itzel, and although it was raining we had a great time! I have visited Rotterdam a few times before, but never did a tour in the city. As the parents of my girlfriend were over from Mexico, we decided to do this walking tour. And I'm happy we did! Itzel is very knowledgeable about the city, with all of its history and architecture. We got to know a lot about the past, present and future through all the stories and accompanying photomaterial that Itzelf took with her. The tour was really well prepared which added a lot to the quality of the tour. Itzel is very enthousiastic and creates a nice energy within the group. I would definitely recommend this tour!
