an excellent, jam-packed day

what a great and extremely jam-packed, nonstop day! we saw and learned so much not only about each site we visited, but also oaxaca and mexico history, language, politics, etc etc more broadly. at various stops i would have loved a little more time to slow down and wander but am also very happy with how much we are able to see and do in just one trip. an excellent experience overall!

10/10 Experience!

I have been on many different types of tours, but I must say this one was my favorite. The difference that set this one apart was the tour guide, Lizzet. She was engaging with each tourist and genuinely passionate about sharing history and culture of Oaxaca!  Not only did I walk away with the warm invitation to learn and love the historical value of each site within the tour; I also walked away with a new set of friends within the tour group itself. It's a valuable memory shared among us and greatful to have experienced it. Teammate driver, Oscar also drove with care and punctuality to which we all as tourists can certainly appreciate well within our travel experiences.

Operator response

We are sorry to read this, as the situation described does not reflect the way we operate our tours. At Zapotecos Tours, we always strive to be flexible with our travelers while also respecting the time and experience of everyone in the group. Our guides carefully manage the itinerary and departure times, and one of our priorities is always to make sure that no traveler is left behind. We understand that delays can sometimes happen during a tour, which is why our team always seeks to communicate and coordinate with all participants. We take every comment seriously, but we also believe it is important to clarify that leaving a traveler behind is not part of our service standards or the way our team works.

Must-do visit

Amazing tour experience with our guide Pavel and driver Miguel. I especially enjoyed the visit of Mitla, where I couldn’t have had a better guide. It was so interesting and fun at the same time that I would have missed the whole point of the visit without it.

Loved it!!

Incredible time with my family with the tour crew!! They were so friendly and patient and took us around all the best sites. We arrived at the sites well timed before other tours arrived so we didn’t have to rush or to compete with crowds. Would highly recommend for families and groups!!

Worth every peso. Adventure, culture, history and fam mix.

This tour by far was the most extensive and knowledgeable experience in my 20 plus years of traveling. My husband only speaks English and raved about the deep and breath of information provided by Pavel. The route for mezcal that includes hierve Agua, tule, mictla etc was superb. Out driver Erick was professional and super smooth. Highly recommend this team. This company runs a great operation. History, culture, adventure to last a life time. Sincerely, fam with children from Denver CO.
