Amazing tour with Conor! He is incredibly knowledgeable about Belfast’s history and gives an informative and entertaining tour. Highly recommend!
We met on time at the sport outside city hall has directed. Concur adjusted route and timing for us as requested so we could have a beer in the oldest pub and take a break from the rain. Despite the insistent rain he pressed on as we wanted and shared some great info and detail about the sites around the city and the history of how Belfast has been shaped politically and culturally. Highly recommend. Would do it again.
Had a lovely relaxed afternoon in the company Conchur. While He is a fantastic and knowledgeable guide, born in the city, with many a tale to tell, He is friendly and approachable Thoroughly recommend this tour.
Thanks so much Simon! Was lovely to meet you both and you were a joy to take out on tour! Hope you have a wonderful rest of trip and drop me a message if you need anything! Sorry I couldn't go for that pint, would have been lovely!haha
I recently had family home from America and thought this would be a great way to show them the real Belfast. It was a fantastic experience all round. Conor was incredibly informative, he has a wealth of knowledge, whilt also keeping the tour fun and engaging throughout. The history was brought to life in such an interesting and fun way, with plenty of stories and insights you wouldn’t get elsewhere. It was the perfect balance of learning and enjoyment. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Belfast, or even locals wanting to learn about our city. He wad also able to advise us on where the best spots for a good pint of Guinness was :)
A great tour guide with a right mix of facts and fun, would highly recommend for everyone, local and visitor. As a Belfast local, I look forward to hopefully going again for a different tour!
Thanks so much for the great review, was a pleasure taking you all out on tour!
We had an absolutely fantastic time on the Hidden Belfast Walking Tour With Local. It was the perfect mix of history, culture, and those little details you’d never notice on your own. Our guide was warm, engaging, and genuinely passionate about Belfast - the storytelling felt personal and authentic rather than “scripted”. What I loved most was how the tour took us beyond the obvious sights and into the city’s hidden corners, with loads of local context along the way. We came away feeling like we understood Belfast better, and we also got great recommendations for places to eat/drink and other things to do afterwards. The pace was comfortable, the route was easy to follow, and there was plenty of time to ask questions. If you’re visiting Belfast (especially for the first time), I’d genuinely say do this early in your trip — it adds so much depth to everything else you’ll see. Highly recommend — an easy 5/5.
A great tour around the city and learnt so much. Conchur is extremely knowledgeable and someone who is clearly passionate about the history of Belfast. Would highly recommend!
If you’re looking for a way to peel back the layers of Belfast’s complex, grit-and-glory history without feeling like you’re sitting through a dry lecture, look no further than Conchúr and his Document Belfast tours. Here is why you need to book this: The Perfect Guide: Conchúr is a natural storyteller. He doesn’t just recite dates; he weaves a narrative that is deeply informative, genuinely entertaining, and peppered with the kind of sharp wit you only get in Belfast. Local Insight: Whether you’re a tourist visiting for the first time or a local who thinks they know every corner of the city, you will learn something new. He has a knack for highlighting the hidden details that most people walk right past. The "Liquid" History: Perhaps the best part? The tour includes a good few pints along the way. There’s something incredibly authentic about discussing the city’s past while sitting in some of its most iconic, historic pubs. It keeps the energy high and the conversation flowing. The Verdict This isn't your standard "point and look" walking tour. It’s a fun, immersive experience that feels more like a night out with an incredibly knowledgeable friend. I couldn’t recommend this enough to both locals and tourists alike. If you want the real Belfast—the history, the humor, and the hospitality—Conchúr is your man. Pro Tip: Wear comfortable shoes and come thirsty!
Over our years visiting Belfast with friends, we always try to squeeze a wee tour in. Seen this fella on the socials and booked a Guinness tour for our next visit. We loved it that much that we have done the walking tour twice now with different groups of friends. Conch’s knowledge is second to none and any questions that have been unknown (only 2) he has got back to us promptly via email. Have to say no other tour operator we have used over Europe has taken this approach. I think we would almost say that conch has become a friend of ours in the lovely city of Belfast. Do not hesitate to book. Ewan & Clare
I had a tour with some friends around Halloween. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and has clearly spent considerable time researching and developing his tours and craft. He tailored this one to seasonal themes and I would highly recommend. He is also very knowledgable about where you will find a good pint of stout. I will def be back.
