Start off with a delightful morning tour to romantic Heidelberg. We will visit the Heidelberg Castle high above the valley and landmark of the city. Take a walk through the large, impressing courtyard with its medieval residential buildings. From the large terrace you will enjoy a fantastic panorama view over historic Heidelberg. In the cellar vaults we show you the largest wooden wine barrels worldwide.

60 min

On a walking tour through the crooked alleyways of the beautiful old city centre of Heidelberg you will come to see the Karl's Gate and the Old Bridge, the House of the Knights and the Church of the Holy Spirit - to mention only some of the important sights.

The second part of the journey will lead us to Baden-Baden, the famous spa at the Northern rim of the Black Forest. Famous for its 2000 year old hot springs, the spa gathered international reputation for international health care. We show you the old-world elegance of its noble avenues and luxurious villas, visit the precious spa house and pass by the famous casino, amidst beautifully landscaped parks.

60 min

Then on with our journey through wonderful nature: the dark woods landscape of the Black Forest up to Lake Mummelsee, a relic from the last ice age. Free time at this lovely place. A tour that combines history and nature

We are indeed grateful to Willi (our coach driver and guide) for the excellent trip. His knowledge of the places, history and sense of humour made the trip memorable. He ensured that we covered all the places well given our combination tour.

Bad tour and experience

The tour was not worthy at all. A whole day tour had 6 hours in car. Only half hour stopped at each stopping point. The driver/guide also spent about 30 minutes looking for parking place at each point. Never had such a bad experience.

Top notch guide!

Our tour guide truly knew hiw to make the most of a snowy/rainy day! He was pleasant, energetic, and provided us with interesting facts throughout our tour. He was knowledgeable enough to change plans or re-arrange things when the snow hit. We had a marvelous time!

Coach was a minibus that was not heated at all in the middle of winter, so we all froze the entire day. There was no canal tour in Strasbourg. Because another couple had booked Heidelberg too we went there at 8pm meaning we didn't get back until 10pm. In a freezing minibus. Guide didn't give name.

Wonderful day trip. Unfortunately, the vehicle was small, old and cranky. I had to sit away from my husband throughout the journey. This was made up by including Salsburg in the day trip. Guide/driver was very knowledgable and tried hard to ensure all aboard got to see what they paid for. Overall, a very erwarding day trip.

Our guide Peter was outstanding. We had a small group of 7, he took the time to walk with us through the streets of Baden Baden and Heidelburg. He always made us stay while he went and got the mini van and save us from walking the extra mile. Outstanding service by Peter, he never rushed us and provided excellent commentary on Heidelberg, Baden-Baden and Black forest. Ask for Peter, it will be worth it.

This was quite a long day, but we knew what we were signing up for, so no grumbles there. However, the tour company office - apparently incorrectly - told the driver some clients wanted to visit Strassburg - that would have meant a VERY long day. After some discussion on the bus, it was decided to just do Heidelberg and Baden-Baden.

Both H and B-B were good to visit and wander around, and the driver provided good background in each. We had a crisis when one tour member got separated from the rest of the party in B-B, but we managed to find her after searching. I was greatly impressed by the driver's professionalism in coordinating the search. The final segment in the mountains south of B-B was magic.
