St. Sophia Orthodox Cathedral was built in 1907, It was Russian church before, it is biggest one in far east,it's not a church any more, it's the Harbin architecture art exhibition hall.

Sun Island , summer is the park, winter time held snow fair location from 13 of December to 5 of March.

The landmark Sophia cathedral is one of the best preserved examples of Byzantine architecture in China.

Harbin Ice and Snow World was founded in 1999,Harbin ice and snow world is Ice Palace Disneyland, there are everything inside, food, drink, many entertainments, the best time to visit it with the lights at night. It's open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. It starts around on 23 of December and ends around the end of February, finish depending on the weather.
Laodaowai has the largest reserved area of "Chinese baroque" building block in China.These old houses, after a hundred years of vicissitudes of life, have the appearance of the west, but inside the Chinese style hidden courtyard, is a unique architectural form of Harbin people.
Harbin ice festival is the general name of Harbin winter activities, we often say the ice festival is Harbin ice and snow world.
The ice lantern show is held in zhaolin park, which is the only place in the center of Harbin that has ice spot place.

GREAT DAY TRIP TO HARBIN ICE AND SNOW FESTIVAL. WE MEET WITH OUR GUIDE ( SERA ) AND PRIVATE DRIVER FROM HARBIN PRIVATE TOUR GUIDE IN THE LOBBY OF HOTEL MARRIOTT AT THE AGREED TIME. WE FIRST SAW THE SNOW PARK, ALL SCULPTURES IN SNOW, REALLY WELL MADE. WE GOT SOME BEAUTIFUL PICTURES, WHAT WE DIDN'T KNOW WAS THAT THIS WAS THE COLDEST DAY THIS YEAR. HAD PROBLEMS TAKING PICTURES. HERE OUR GUIDE SERA TOOK OVER. TOOK LOTS OF PICTURES ON MY CAMERA BUT ALSO WITH HER CAMERA. ATE LUNCH AND WAS WARMED UP BEFORE WE DROVE ON TO THE HARBIN ICE FESTIVAL. A GREAT EXPERIENCE. AMAZING ICE SCULPTURES. WE SAW SOME ARTISTS MAKE THEM. SERA WAS VERY ATTENTIVE IF WE FORGOT SOMETHING OR NEEDED TO COME IN AND WARM UP. MY MOTHER IS 82 YEARS OLD, SO THE PACE WAS HARD. WE HAD A REALLY GOOD EXPERIENCE. YOU CAN DO IT YOURSELF BY FINDING THE PLACES YOURSELF, BUT IF YOU DON'T HAVE THAT MUCH TIME TO SPENT, THIS IS A GOOD CHOICE. MONEY WELL SPENT. TRANSPORTED RIGHT TO THE PLACE AND NOT LEAST OUR SKILLED GUIDE SERA. HELPFUL AND SMILING ALL THE TIME. SPOKE ENGLISH WELL AND UNDERSTOOD WHAT WE WANTED TO SEE AND DO. First time visitors to Harbin, met with -28 degree temperatures. Decided to take a Harbin Private Tour Guide with Driver Mr Zou and our guide Austin Liu. Well worth the cost knowing we would be taken to where we wanted to go, to see what we wanted to see with a warm car immediately at our disposal all day to see arm up after each visit. We never stopped all day seeing The Russian church, the morning swimmers, the snow festival with its awesome sculptures and fun rides, the tiger sanctuary, great local restaurant for noodles at lunch before finally seeing the stunning ice festival at the end of the day. Non of it rushed, very much at our pace. Lots of photos of us together for lifetime memories . Harbin did not disappoint and neither did Austin or Mr Zou.

We had a one-day private tour at the end of December. We met our English-speaking tour guide in our Harbin hotel lobby. Our tour guide Cathy checked our itinerary with us, and She made a very flexible itinerary for us. We also talked about our plan with her. then started our day tour. It was really cold in Harbin.Fortunately, we arranged everything in advance, Our guide Cathy who helped us a lot. She helped us book ice and snow festival entry tickets ahead of time. She explains each attraction to us and some knowledge we want to know from her. Lunch time followed our tour guide suggestion, we tasted the local special dish, stewed in iron pot. We chose pork dish, the meal is good, but a little slow. our driver Mr, Wang is very polite. The car has air-conditioned and warm. We enjoyed our one-day trip in Harbin. Thank for your review, yes, local stewed in iron pot food is delicious, but take some time to cook, 40 years before north-east China all cooking like stwed in iron is easy one time can finish dish and food, and burn wood to cook, it is very interesting to try local food like that. thank you again for taking us service, hope to see you again in Harbin in future Samantha
The tour was poor, we wanted to go to the less touristic places, but the guide did not know the places. For lunch, we have been taken to a shopping mall when actually we asked for local cuisine to try.

Our suggestion itinerary is Harbin classical tourists places you have booked and paid your tour guide let you choice from two optional, you choice Harbin Snow fair on Sunisland, Harbin polarland, Songhua river ropeway, Russian town, and St.Sophia church And your tour guide follow your choice and finished it. after finish you gave your tour guide and driver tips, they were thinking you spend a happy day with them. they are so encourage and happy. 2) you booking 2 person and paid only 2 person cost USD240, final you come 3 person, one join for free, in fact 3 person cost USD270, we just be friendly and kind, did not charge for one more person. Now you said your tour was poor, what make it was poor, our tour guide did wrong thing for you, cheating you behind, if not, one reason you expect too high for special need from this tour, if you have special tour you should book other tours, not this one, special tour is higher than this one you booked. 3) you said “For lunch, we have been taken to a shopping mall when actually we asked for local cuisine to try.” I give your tour guide Cathy Chen call, ask her about your tour day food experience, She said that day you want to eat local style good, Cathy and our excellent driver Mr.Dong took you go to local restaurant, but you said you do not like it, so you out, Cathy and driver take you go to our famous shopping mall(Rongchuang Mall, Harbin local people spend holiday or day off time there and enjoy local food there, something wrong with this, I don’t think so, we usually take client come to Rongchuang Shopping Mall try local famous food like: DongFang JiaoZi Wang(Oriental dumpling king), Lao Chu Jia,LaoChang ChunBing,and other good taste local food will be in shopping mall, I also with my family go to Rongchuang shopping for local good food. This shopping mall good environment and no-smoking, also you can eat some local famous food, it is good place to go. we don’t think it is wrong place, your tour guide Cathy, Driver Mr. Dong and I we all from Harbin, local person, know which is best for eat lunch. We always try our best make our clients enjoy their trip in Harbin, your tour guide and driver took you go Shopping Mall, it is kind behavior hope you can have more chance to choice what you like , you choice Xinjiang food you like by yourself, and happy to eat it when you were in restaurant, now you said the food not you want, I want to ask you what do you want, take you go to real local, you don’t like, take you shopping mall, you think not right place, please tell us where is right restaurant for you?
Mr Zou was our guide for the day. He was on time and very helpful. He takes time to explain to us the different places to visit and the best time to visit them. He was very courteous and patient. A day well spent!
