Hanoi Night Market and Street Food Tour

Description
Hanoi has a worthy range of markets, but the outdoor night market is more like a social event than a shopping occasion. You'll still find great bargains at this unique weekend market, which stretches from Hang Ngang to Hang Dao Street. We had a food tour with Rose our first night out in Hanoi! She was so incredibly informative and sweet! Such a great way to start our Vietnam trip! She had so many great tips and knew everything :) absolutely recommended!
Kiara gave us a wonderful night tasting delicious Vietnamese foods, imparting some cool history related to the dishes we tried and teaching us how to negotiate a fair price at the night market. She even made we sure we got back to our hotel safely. We highly recommend this tour but be sure to arrive hungry; so you have room for all the samples.
Good food good guide overal good exerience nothing to complian
The Hanoi night market offers an excellent selection of street food and souvenirs at very reasonable prices. Travellers are advised to be cautious of the “blue light scam.” In our case, a taxi displaying a Grab sign was in fact a private operator. Upon reaching our hotel, the driver switched on a blue interior light, which distorted the appearance of currency notes, and attempted to substitute our VND 500,000 note with his VND 50,000 note, claiming he did not have sufficient change. The issue was resolved only after firmly challenging the driver and threatening to contact the police. ⚠️ Always verify the authenticity of ride-hailing vehicles and carefully check cash transactions. Beware of the “blue light scam” ‼️
This is such a wonderful tour experience! Kira our guide for the evening shared so much on local customs and culture, and flexed the tour stops to our interests and tastes. Each food stop was better than the last with delicious local delicacies we would have missed out on if we had just walked by ourselves. This is a must do in Hà Nội… and ask for Kira, she’s the best!!!
Great food tour with V! Very good food and local vibes! We tried all popular local dishes and the amazing egg coffee. Loved it
Hanoi nightmarket was like a city street in summer Sweden. Plastic, smoking snack bars, knickknacks, children playing, howling mopeds and trolling guests. I don’t know what I expected but you have to like shopping and crowds to appreciate this. Nothing for yours truly though:)
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We understand that the vibrant and bustling atmosphere of Hanoi's night market may not be for everyone. It's a lively place full of sights, sounds, and local street life that some find exciting and others overwhelming. We appreciate your honest feedback about the local market and hope you still found other aspects of your visit enjoyable. I hope that overall you had a good time exploring our cuisine and being taken care of by our tour guide😊Thank you again for your review and wish you the best!
I had a great time on this tour! Long is a wonderful guide, the food was amazing and I really enjoyed the night market. Long texted me when he arrived at the hotel, reviewed the itinerary, and then we headed out. He explained a lot about the food, described the ingredients and at one stop showed me how to roll everything up into the rice paper. I bought a few souvenirs at the night market, and he bargained for me to get the best prices. As a solo traveler it was wonderful to have a guide so that I could make the best use of my time in Hanoi. It was really interesting talking with Long about living in Hanoi and family life in Vietnam and the US. On the way back to the hotel I wanted to pick up a couple of things and even though the tour had officially ended he helped me find what I needed.
Sarah was an amazing guide, so many good advices ! She shared a lot of her knowledge about Vietnam, and brought us to the best places in town to eat delicious traditional Vietnamese food ! 10/10
Very noisy, very crowded. The market is divided by a long driveway into two parts where rabid moped riders ride. We came specifically for fruit to take home, wandered the streets of the market for an hour and never found it. Just a slice or just a little bit and one kind of fruit sold. Lots of cafes, bars and street food. All the people are going to hang out at Knight Market this weekend.
