Sandy was an amazing guide. Yes, it’s an early start but so worth seeing the local markets. At 6 am we saw formal flag raising at Ho Chi Minh complex. You see a side of Hanoi that few see. Highly recommend.
Max was great! This was our favorite tour in Hanoi, and we particularly loved his guidance to his personal favorite donut stand etc. Highly recommend!
Really cool to see various markets, people starting their day. The flag raising ceremony was interesting to see. Sandy was a great guide.
An interesting visit to flower market and food market. Flag raising ceremony was also a unique experience. However we ended the tour too early (7:30) for indoor markets - this should be indicated in the itinerary. Wear warm clothes for the winter months as it can be quite chilly! Pho breakfast was a nice touch at the end.
What a tour! It's amazing to witness Hanoi wake up and see the people getting ready for the day. Trung was a great guide and offered great insight to the local life. I really wanted to see the hustle and hustle of a local market and this tour offered exactly that. We saw multiple markets, got to see the rare sight of some empty streets slowly filling up and finished off with Bánh cuốn for breakfast and egg coffee. It was a great way to start the day and on our own time we were able to continue visiting the old quarter after that. My only comment would be not to forget to advise to wear shorts at least over the knee for both men and women or have a fabric to cover the knees when visiting the mausoleum. We couldn't get into the mausoleum area because of our short pants however we were still able to watch the raising of the flag from behind the fence.
Excellent tour. We saw a real slice of Hanoi life. The hectic flower market, a backstreet neighbourhood and a local market. Fascinating experience. Our guide was called Love. He was fantastic.
The experience at the flower market was amazing. There were so many beautiful sights while walking around there and learning about the origin of the flowers and where they were going to go. That was followed up by taking trips to a few other markets and having a great breakfast that we never would have found alone. We also experienced the flag raising ceremony which was a really special experience.
