As we did not have time to do an overnight cruise, this was an excellent alternative. It was a long day; but we managed to see everything we needed and it was exactly as it looked in the pictures. Great meal onboard.
Thank you for sharing your experience! We’re so happy to hear the day cruise was a perfect alternative for your schedule. Ha Long Bay is truly breathtaking, and we’re glad you enjoyed the scenery, onboard meal, and overall trip with LVP Travel. Hope to welcome you back for even more amazing experiences in Vietnam! 🌿🚢
We did a 10 day tour of Vietnam. Each day was a different guide, new places to see, and new people to meet. The experience was great. LVP was very responsive to all inquiries we made before and during the trip. Our hotels were beautiful and each day was packed with things to do but not overwhelming. Everyone showed up on time to guide us and we were comfortable during the time when we were in our own. Food was excellent. Overall a great experience.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed your 10-day journey across Vietnam with LVP Travel. It means so much to know our guides, hotels, food, and daily arrangements helped create a smooth and memorable experience for you. Your kind words truly motivate our team to continue delivering the best service possible. We hope to welcome you back to Vietnam again in the future! 🌸
Our hotel was apparently outwith the pick up zone yet others on the trip were dropped off within 5 mins drive of our hotel (which we didnt realise at the time)on return and we were not offered the opportunity to get off and make our way to our hotel from this much shorter distance(as others who were picked up at the opera house with us were) .It would be helpful if Viator could ensure operators provide a map delineating the area where they pick up that can be viewed prior to booking .This trip is a two and a half hour drive there and back from Hanoi so worth factoring in particularly for your return .We were not dropped off until 10pm and had to find our own way back to our hotel .Surprised at how little information was provided by the guide about this UNESCO site .also worth bearing in mind that getting on and off the boat can be challenging if you are older or unsteady on your feet .In addition the cave visit involves a number of steps .food was OK but you have to be quick as you are sharing with 6 others .Enjoyed seeing this UNESCO site but Viator and operator can made changes to make it better when booking and the overall experience.
Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We truly appreciate you taking the time to highlight your experience. Regarding the drop-off location, our pickup and return points are arranged based on the designated service zone for operational efficiency and traffic regulations in Hanoi. We understand your concern and will review how we communicate this information more clearly prior to departure to avoid any misunderstanding. We also appreciate your comments about the guide’s explanations, boat access, and meal arrangements. Your feedback is valuable and helps us improve both our briefing process and overall service quality. We’re glad you enjoyed visiting this beautiful UNESCO site, and we will certainly take your suggestions into consideration to enhance the experience for future guests. Thank you again for your constructive comments.
I would never do this again! Not the guides fault but the tour was full of rude and obnoxious Indians that really ruined the day. If there was an option to not go with Indians, and I knew what was going to happen, I would have take n that option. They ruined the day. Ha Long Bay was OK but really spoilt by the excessive tourism/boats
Hi Mr/Mrs Darren... We are truly sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. While we are glad to know the guide was not at fault, we sincerely regret that the group dynamics and the busy conditions in Ha Long Bay affected your enjoyment of the tour. This is certainly not the experience we aim to provide. As a shared-group tour operator, we welcome travelers from many different countries and cultures, and occasionally group travel may not suit everyone’s preferences. We completely understand how important comfort and atmosphere are when traveling, and we apologize for any inconvenience you experienced. Your comments regarding tourism density in Ha Long Bay are also well noted, and we continuously work with our partners to select the best routes and timings to improve guest experiences where possible. We truly appreciate you traveling with us and would love the opportunity to welcome you again in the future — perhaps on one of our Europe tours, where we can recommend private or small-group options better suited to your travel style. Thank you again for your feedback, and we wish you all the best in your future travels.
Ha Long Bay: you need to see this when you are in (Northen) Vietnam. Beautiful view of limestones and caves. The Sung Sot cave is amazing. The boat, the crew and the vibe were really good to have a nice vacation. There is a lot of walking here. I have never heard of Titop Island before, but you can go swimming or trekking to above to see the view over the bay and boats. The weather was perfect. I wish the cruise company good luck with their business, because they are doing great with their service and food
Amazing trip organized by LVP travels and special thanks to Alice for arranging everything on time and within budget.
Déjà, mieux vaut réserver en agence et donne un pourboire au gens sur place…. Et sinon, c’est vraiment trop touristique et organise de manière stressante. It’s best to book in hanoi or somewhere else. There are many agencies. Then you can tip people on spot… Otherwise, it’s really too touristic and organiser in a stressful way. Our guide was funny but sometimes mean and oppressing. I didn’t have a great experience but in was not horrible
15 of us from London wanted to spend a day in Halong Bay after hiking in the mountains for a week so we went with LVP travel. Jenny was super-helpful in advance over email and arranged all the details and payments etc so we had confidence on the day that things would come together. We were picked up at 08:30 from our hotel and had a 2.5 hour drive to Halong Bay where the guide (Billy) gave us some history and general chat which was handy. On arrival we went to our boat and set out into Halong Bay at which point we were given a lovely meal with good veggie options. We headed to one island for a hike and a swim, then to another where we went kayaking through caves then on to some caves with stalagmites etc before a boat back to shore and a fast drive back to Hanoi. Really hard to find anything to fault about the organisation, the personnel and the trip itself so would highly recommend if you want a seamless booking
We are so grateful for your 5-star review. Thanks for sharing your rating with us and the community ! We hope to see you again soon in Vietnam for next time vacation Thanks
The food was excellent and plentiful. The cruise was breathtaking. I enjoyed the hike and the cave as well. The boat was very clean.
Was a fantastic day, good food and amazing views. Lunch was nice too and then the kayaks and the caves to top it off.
