Join our Hanoi French Quarter Walking Experience to discover one of the most beautiful parts of the city. The historical area is the southern part of Hanoi and is full of culture and history that sets it apart from the rest of the city. We will start with an explanation of Vietnamese general history in a French villa coffee shop, accompanied by a cup of authentic Vietnamese coffee. We will then give a brief overview of French influences in Hanoi featuring St. Joseph's Cathedral, Hanoi Opera House, Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi Post Office, Trang Tien Street, Hanoi Metropole Hotel, the very first university in French Indochina, and many more! You will learn about how Vietnamese society changed under French rule, exploring the good and the bad of this period.

Great tour of the French...

Great tour of the French quarter and surrounding areas covering some history, some architecture, some info about contemporary Hanoi life. We asked lots of questions and all were answered. If you’re a woman make sure to take something to cover your shoulders for the church.

A very good walking tour

A very good walking tour with Mina who had an excellent knowledge of the area and who was very friendly. I would suggest doing these kind of tours at the beginning of your trip. The only thing that I strongly disliked was this Australian family and their teenage son who kept on making rude comments about the French. Being French myself I find it quite unpleasant. I was there to learn and it did spoil my experience. I would have preferred not being with teenagers.

A must do tour

We had an amazing tour guide in Mina as she was knowledgeable and friendly. There were 6 of us and a great group. First up coffee in a quaint french built building with a lot of history then the church and Mina explained the history of the church and we had the opportunity to enter and walk around inside. Waling the streets of the French Quarter was enjoyable with the interesting stories Mina shared with us. We stopped for yummy ice cream and ended the tour feeling that this was one of the most enjoyable walking tours we have been on

Informative and great guide in Mina

Mina was amazing. Friendly - informative and professional. Our first stop was a coffee shop where she explained the history of Vietnam occupation succinctly and easily understood over coffee. Mina spike perfect english and was very helpful and answered all our questions. It was a great group size - with 3 Americans and lady from the middle east living in Thailand and my husband and I from Australia. I would highly recommend this tour.
