Fun rides

One of the first things you notice in Hanoi is the traffic which doesn’t ressemble anything you’ve ever seen. The streets are full of cars, trucks, bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, pedestrians and cyclos. There are no written rules on who has the right of way and for foreigners it seems suicidle to even tempt to cross a street. Taking a tour of the city in a cyclo is something that you will never forget! At the end, you go at a water puppet show which is neat.

This tour was a bit ordinary. The water puppet show may be a highlight for the locals but we did not understand the show at all. Whilst we loved the craziness of Hanoi for our visit, it is not comfortable breathing in the fuel fumes from the front of the cyclo going through the traffic. Maybe they should provide a mask like they wear a fresh disposable one for each passenger.

It was an enjoyable morning but at 12.30 got dropped off at the hotel then not picked up again until after 7 pm even though we thought we were on a full day tour of the city then doing street food at night. We did a quick look at some sights from the back of a scooter at night and really enjoyed the street food restaurant. The guide was really helpful and informative it's just the tour was a lot shorter than we expected.
