After pick-up from your hotel, journey through the scenic wine district of Waipara. Experience a wine tasting tour in a region renowned for its Pinot Noir and Riesling. Wine tasting at three Waipara wineries (Pegasus bay, Waipara hills & Greystone Wines).
Continue on to the Hanmer Springs, the alpine resort town in Canterbury. If you choose the upgrade option, experience adventurous 360-degree spins on a thrilling jet boating ride on the stunning Waiau River. Explore Hanmer Springs village and perhaps have lunch at one of the local cafes. This was a private tour--just my husband and I--in a very nice car for a drive north of Christchurch to visit three wineries, on to Hanmer Springs town for lunch and then on to the hot spring pools. Lunch was fantastic at the Rustic Café (beautiful tapas!!) and a PRIVATE hot springs pool was reserved for us to use for 30 min. After that we had a couple hours to relax in all the other pools. On our drive home our driver was attentive to our wishes to stop and drone and take pictures of some sheep. He also had local snacks in the back pockets of the seats in front of us to try along with bottled water. It was a fantastic day and we really enjoyed having the private tour!
