April 16 2026 I enjoyed the tour, being able to do an audio tour at my own pace, stopping where I’d like to and get back on track is great. I also found it very easy to follow the instructions and the audio and gps follow along/ start audio at next stop was very useful - I didn’t have to pull my phone out of my pocket in the rain - audio just started when needed. Feedback…. I know I booked the tour in the shoulder season, I felt that it should have been noted that some items are not available outside of certain dates. I stopped at the hammocks on the dock where audio explained to take a rest, enjoy the sun, rest in a hammock …. The hammock are not there in April. Understandable, it was raining, windy, I used my imagination. George’s national historic site stop - it was great to learn of what is on the island and the boat you can take there … that isn’t there in April … Fountain at the bishops landing …. Not in operation in April CSS Acadia - under covers in the off season. The stocks … not there, the whole area is under construction - your map shows ‘salty’s which was demolished last year, I’m assuming the stocks have been removed so they can get construction vehicles to the old salty’s …. Which takes away from finishing up with Blackbeard commentary. As mentioned I enjoyed the tour however I think some updated research needs to be done. I do feel the tour is mainly focused on ‘in season’ tours’.
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts, and I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the tour overall - especially the ease of the GPS‑triggered audio on a rainy day. As we mentioned in our earlier correspondence, some features along the waterfront are seasonal or occasionally unavailable due to construction. We do note this in the tour description under the "What's Included" section - “Recommended attractions may be closed or inaccessible depending on the season or circumstances beyond our control.” That said, we understand it can still be disappointing when something isn’t available during an off‑season visit. We appreciate you outlining the specific locations you encountered — those notes have already been passed along to our team as part of our regular update cycle. Feedback like this helps us keep things as accurate as possible for future guests. Thanks again for exploring Halifax with us.
The Board Walk follows the water edge. Lots of boats, places to sit. Very busy area with lots of shops, restaurants, bars. I believe it is over 2 miles longs. If you are looking for quiet - this is not the place. Well worth visiting
Thank you for the 5-star review! We're so glad you had a fun time and enjoyed walking along the water, taking in all the activity with the boats, shops, and restaurants. It sounds like you had a wonderful visit, and we hope to see you again soon.
Followed the instructions. Once I opened the app I got lost a little. Finally figured it out and ir worked well. Enjoyed the information.

My wife needed a nap, so I took the audio tour alone. Excellent way to spend a couple hours alone through an area that would otherwise go without explanation.
Thanks for the fantastic review! We're so happy you enjoyed the flexibility of touring at your own pace. It's great to hear that our audio tour was a perfect way for you to spend a couple of hours and that we could provide some valuable context to the area. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience!
The app was so easy to use and the tour worked perfectly. It was great how as soon as you got close to the next landmark on the tour the app started automatically to describe what we were seeing,
Thanks for the wonderful review! We're so glad you had a great experience with our tour. It's wonderful to hear the app was so easy to use making for a seamless experience.
This audio tour worked exactly as expected. It was very easy to follow the directions and the audio played when we approached each location even with our phones on airplane mode. There was one very large art piece along the way (Tidal Beacon, 2022) between stops 15 and 16 that I was surprised was not included in the tour. It was a very efficient and cost effective tour that started near the cruise port. Highly recommend!
Thanks for sharing a bit about your experience with the Tripvia Tours app and how well it worked for you, Kendra! We're thrilled that you highly recommend it and that you left this great review! 2025 Update - we have included the Tidal Beacon in the tour update!
The tour was great. Had a little problem figuring out where the map was but once we got all downloaded and finished the tutorial it ran well.
Glad you got it figured out quickly and found the tour to be great, John! We appreciate you taking a moment to leave a review and share your thoughts on the experience.
After having some initial trouble syncing up our location with the audio, the rest of the tour went well. Good info on all the locations so we learned a lot. Great being able to do the tour at pour own pace and only go inside museums if we wanted to.
We're glad you enjoyed the Halifax Boardwalk & Seaport tour, Jeff! Always nice to stop here and there, then get back to the tour when you want. Thank-you for taking a moment to leave your review. Much appreciated!
The information was spot on, everything worked great until 2/3 of the way through when the GPS could not figure out where we were. Still well worth the cost.
Thanks for the review and taking the time to share your thoughts!
