My mum and I really enjoyed our tour with Miki (Mohammed). He is extremely well informed and enthusiastic about the rich history of Luxor. He has degrees in both Egyptology and mythology making his extent of knowledge vast. He is patient, and always willing to provide further explanations to questions I had. He was also very kind, courteous and helped us locate other areas we wanted to visit.

Went on a private tour and had a fantastic day with Mahmoud and the team. From booking to the day of touring, they were courteous and respectful. We had requests for stops and sights and they accomodated. They handled all reservations and tickets, which were included in the original price. Would definitely recommend them and would book with them again for another tour.

Beware - various ‘traps’. This is my second review of this activity - the first one I was almost forced to write by the guide while finishing lunch. The experience itself was ‘ok’ - the Egyptologist Mahmoud was polite and knowledgeable, but not particularly friendly and engaging - it felt like he was doing us a favour by being there. The lunch he offered us at €15 was massively overpriced compared to what you get in good restaurants in Luxor. He offered us an ‘additional trip’ to the artists villages that we accepted because it sounded good, and it was one of the highlights of the experience, but as it was ‘arranged’ by him rather than actual tickets, we definitely overpaid. On the other hand, the driver was one of the nicest people we met in all of Egypt. Friendly, caring, great with our kids.
