Visit of resort city Jurmala with famous beach and Open Air Museum. Additionally can visit and Latvian cuisine restaurant. Please note that this daytrip does not include licensed guide service. Our English speaking driver will give basic info, answer your questions, lead to the ticket offices and will advise best local restaurants for lunch. If licensed guide is requested it can be arranged at an additional cost at the sights that we will be visiting, please inform us in advance if such service is needed so we can book it for you. Please keep in mind or check sites you desire to visit as during the Winter month some sites do not operate every day of the week. It is better to rent a car. He's not a guide, he's just a driver. We did not make the description of the trip: no visit to the museum because closed! and no view of the treetops. Not even including the high dune. Left to ourselves in Jurmala! On the way back, however, he was asked to stop on the road that was not planned.
Dear Jean-Marie, We had sent you two messages explaining that Jurmala Open Air museum will be closed on 30th of December. But we did not receive any replys from you. Also description of this prodect states that it is a day trip with an English speaking driver not the licensed guide. Our driver explained that due to rainy weather not much of trip was enjoyable, but he drove you the two additional locations in Riga that you wished to see. I'm sorry that you where disapointed with this day trip but we did warn you that the main attraction of this trip will be closed. Please see meesages we have sent you.
If you have half a day to spare, take the train to Jurmala. Next to no cost. This is an experience in itself. Jurmala itself is nothing extraordinary, but you find nice restaurants with typical local food. A walk at the beach is easy, also with normal shoes, because of the long boardwalk.
Dear Danielle, going to Jurmala on train you will miss Jurmala Open Air Museum and will see only a center of Jurmala.
