Half-Day Napa Winery E-Bike Tour

Description
On a Half-Day Bike Tour, you'll enjoy the unique experience of biking through wine country and visiting a local winery while still finishing early enough to make other plans for your afternoon! You’ll join a small group led by a local, knowledgeable Tour Guide who will enhance your understanding of the valley’s history and the romantic vine-to-bottle process. This tour will include one stop at a local winery (tasting fees not included) Electric bikes make this tour fun for anyone who can ride a bike. Casual bikers will find they can confidently ride longer distances and cruise up hills with no problem. And experienced riders who are hoping for more exercise can turn the pedal-assist level down or completely off to get more of a workout. After your bike tour concludes in Yountville, you’re welcome to keep your bikes to continue exploring on your own. Your Tour Guide will be happy to recommend favorite backroads to explore.

Itinerary
After bike fitting & orientation (30 mins), your Tour Guide will lead you on a scenic ride alongside the vineyards. Tours are led at a casual pace. The emphasis is on enjoying the scenery and discovering a local winery along the way. The winery visit will last approximately 75 minutes with plenty of time to engage your tasting host and learn about the wine-making styles and farming practices. Wine tasting fees are not included; you will pay tasting fees directly at the wineries during your visit (fees may be waived with minimum purchase). After your tour concludes in Yountville, you’re welcome to keep your electric bikes to continue exploring on your own. Your Tour Guide will be happy to recommend favorite backroads to explore.
Monticello Vineyards is owned and managed by three generations of the Corley family. Patriarch Jay Corley, came to Napa Valley in 1969 seeking land to plant an estate vineyard. He chose a parcel in the southern end of Napa Valley to plant the first vines for Monticello Vineyards. Fifty years later, the Corley family manages five different vineyards across the Napa Valley. Sons Kevin, Chris and Stephen manage the winery. A third generation of Corleys is now graduating college and beginning to take active roles in the family business. Specific winery visits are subject to change due to availability. Wine tasting fees are not included in the price of the bike tour (some wineries may be waived with minimum purchase).

Our tour was informative and fun. The weather was perfect and the size of the group was just right. The wine tasting was located at a beautiful and charming winery and the wines were fabulous. We learned a lot and enjoyed each other’s company. Also, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention our guide, Michelle. She was fun and knowledgeable and easy going. Such a great way to see the Napa valley.
This totally makes our day! Can't wait share with Michelle and the rest of our team. Thank you for riding with us!!
The electric bike tour with wine tasting was the absolute highlight of our 3 day trip to Napa! Sterling was a fantastic guide. He had our bikes prepared when we arrived, was knowledgeable and entertaining, and perfectly unobtrusive when we wanted to catch up on our own. Highly recommend.
Love reading this and can’t wait to share your review with our team, especially Sterling! Thanks for riding with us, Sarah!
This bike tour was just okay. Sadly the person who ran it was not attentive to the riders on the tour. He was very informative on aspects of the wine industry, the area, and the local sites. The route taken could have been better.
"Just okay" is definitely not okay with us. We're sorry your tour fell short of the 5-star experience we aim to deliver. We will be reaching out to learn more about your experience.
It was just a real nice leisurely ride through town and out to see some of the vineyards. Ended up at Monticello winery where we tasted wind and hung out for a while. Michelle our tour guide was great. She was so nice. Only 7 people were in our group. It was a lot of fun and relaxing.
So glad you enjoyed your Half-Day Tour with Michelle! Thank you for riding with us!
My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary, and took the half day wine tour with John. He was a Terrific tour guide. We loved the winery, so much so, that we bought 6 bottles to take home. The other nice thing the tour company did, was deliver a bottle we purchased, back to the bike rental co. So that we could enjoy it while still in Napa. A great touch! The bikes were in great shape, and they did a great job of giving instructions. We loved the tour so much that we rented bikes on our own, another day, and they gave us a discount for being a repeat customer. Great customer service!!
Wow, love to see this, Susan! So glad you got to spend the day with Tour Guide John. We are so lucky to have him on our team. Cheers to your anniversary!
The two guys we met at the shop were super nice and helpful, our guide was ok, but just seemed to have a personality clash with me and my wife. He warmed up around the time he dropped us in the middle of nowhere. We did a half day tour and the other couple did a whole day so after only one wine tasting he said that’s it, just go done this road a mile and turn right and in about 2 miles you’ll be back in town. I’m lucky I had gps on my phone. I was expecting more.
We are so disappointed to see this, Kimbo. We are so sorry your tour experience fell short. This is not on par with experience we aim to deliver. On days when we host Half-Day and Full-Day Tour guests together, we take care to design the route so that the guide can ride Half-Day guests back to the shop while their Full-Day guests are doing their second wine tasting. The only reason guests should ever be left to ride back on their own is if they express that desire to their guide. We will reach out to you soon to hopefully learn more and will also follow up with our team.
What a fun time! Our guide Don was wonderful and very accommodating for our large group. The scenery was gorgeous and lots of fun! A must do in Napa!
So glad you enjoyed your tour hosted by Don! Thanks for riding with us!
Really nice bike ride. Scenery was lovely. Hoopes vineyard was very quaint and wine was good. Proprietor Emmanual was very engaging and knowledgeable. We had a great time.
Looking for something fun and different, this was a blast. Been to the Valley 10+ times in the last 10 years and a friend recommended we "do something different." I would definitely do this experience again. Had a beautiful day to ride, so that helped but it was a fun way to see the valley and do a little tasting along the way!
It was a great day riding through the beautiful neighborhoods and vineyards of Napa Valley. Our guide, Dave, was friendly and very informative on Napa. It was a small manageable group. I highly recommend.
