Half Day Kayak Rental to John's Pass Sandbar & Mangrove Tunnel

Description
This is a half-day rental. It is not a guided tour. We are on the bay, not the Gulf. The water is much calmer. Your destination is about a mile away. John's Pass has sandbars, islands, dolphins, manatees, and more. It's a popular place to paddle. Beach your kayak or sup on the sandbar and soak up the sun. Search for the mangrove tunnel. Watch ships sail under the span and work on your tan. You don't have to meet us at a slippery public boat ramp! We have free parking and a private floating dock. Our shop called The BoatDega has snacks, drinks, and restrooms. We can set you up with a cooler and fill it with ice. You also have the option to reserve an Easy Snorkel. Swim in the shallow water by the sandbar and search for seashells.

Very friendly staff and great equipment. It was a fun trip and was a highlight of our stay. Beautiful scenery
This was our first time booking with this company and it definitely will not be the last. I tried a stand up paddle board for the first time. Definitely fun. The kayaks were awesome too. Much smaller and faster than the other company we’ve booked with in the past. We do a 4 hour unguided trip every year…we’ll for sure use this one next year.
The stand up padleboards are not as hard to use as people tend to think they are. The Pelican kayaks are super lightweight and track pretty well. Thanks for coming out and leaving a review. See ya next year.
It was nice to go at your own pace. Make sure to pack water and a snack. supper nice staff and cute doggie !
The self-guided rentals are ideal. Set your own pace. When Chewy, the dock dog, gets a mention, he gets a treat. Thank's for the review.
Thw staff here are very accommodating, laid back, and knowledgeable. The location was perfect and not hectic busy so the process was easy. They even have dry bags and phone bags among other things for purchase.
Laid-back paddle board and kayak rentals. That is exactly what we are. Thank you!
The Half Day Kayak Rental from Mad Beach Paddlesports was just right for a little adventure on the water and a different look at John's Pass. The Penguin kayaks were stable and tracked well, although the seats were a little tough on the lower back. The trip through the canals was relaxing, and we took our time exploring John's Pass Island and Eleanor Island. Saw a pod of dolphins feeding just off the sandbar, in addition to an osprey catching fish. It was a beautiful day, and the John's Pass party boats were out in force. Highly recommend this trip since the duration and the pace of the trip is completely in your control.
Wow. Sounds like you got to see some cool wildlife. Sitting in the kayaks for a while can definitely cause some lower back discomfort. We have some seat pad inserts which can help with that. Thanks for the detailed review.
My favorite experience in treasure island! My friends and I did see a few dolphins and a few other water snails and so many gorgeous pelicans and storks! And the kayak is really easy to maneuver especially for beginners. Reccomend bringing food or snacks and lots of water though since it's 4 hours.
That's a great suggestion. Most guests like to bring a cooler with some snacks and drinks to enjoy while chillin by the sandbar. Thank you.
My husband and I took a 2 person kayak for 4 hours. It was beautiful. We went to the mangrove islands and went through the tunnel. It was peaceful We did not see dolphins but many different kinds of birds. We highly recommend Mad Beach Paddlesports. The staff is friendly and easygoing.
That mangrove tunnel is a great little secret spot to paddle through. Thank you for the recommendation.
Me and my friends had such a great time. We spent the day kayaking went towards the little islands where the boats hang out.
The sandbar is a great spot to hang out. Thank you for writing a review.
Had a great time with the 15 year old, saw dolphins and enjoyed the family time. Kayaks were clean, life jackets available and was given a water bag for our excursion.
Thanks for the review. Great family fun.
Great spot to paddle a long the intercostal without a lot of boat traffic. We were able to paddle out to a sandbar, walk around and cool off for a while.
The sandbar is a fantastic destination! Thank you for coming out.
