Learn about the volcano: Your volcanologist guide will teach you about the history and geology of Mount Etna. You will learn about the different types of eruptions that the volcano has had, and you will see some of the volcanic features up close. If you are planning to hike to the summit of Mount Etna, be sure to book your tour in advance, especially if you are traveling during the peak season. You should also be sure to dress in layers and bring plenty of water and snacks. The weather on Mount Etna can change quickly, so it is important to be prepared for anything.

Itinerary
On this tour, you can reach 3000m and see astonishing and unique lunar landscapes, active summit craters with steam, volcanic degassing, and small explosions. You will ride a cable car to reach this altitude and get a panoramic view of Etna. A minibus and a volcanological guide will wait for you at the end of the cable car ride to discover the secrets of Etna. Afterward, we will explore a lava cave with flashlights and helmets. And before heading to Catania, we will do a small tasting of local products. *The cable car ride, minivan and volcanologist at 3000 meters are not included in the price. These additional services will be paid at the cable car station. *Important Note- The remaining (Hours) will be allotted for the travel time from pick up until drop off.

Booked a 3000m guided tour, and ultimately got something I could have experienced on my own! I was already disappointed.
The trip was very nice from start to finish. Andrea, our guide, picked us up right under the house and from there accompanied us for half a day on Mount Etna at 3000 meters. He then took us to visit a solidified lava cave (the cave of the three levels) and finally took us to try a tasting of local Sicilian products. Throughout the day he described Etna very well, its history and curious information about it. In addition, he showed us particular herbs (such as licorice) and rock formations that are on the way to the volcano. He has always made himself very available also to take pictures and take them to us. I recommend to everyone this trip and its nice company!
Evocative and exciting excursion. Accompanied by the good guide Silvia we walked on snow, lava and admired the oldest craters.
Our hotel’s reception staff recommended us this agency but when we checked it out (twice) at the first day of our stay it was closed during the official opening hours without any explanation. We found it to be open the next day and were served by two very friendly employees, booking the “Etna 3,000 m tour” spontaneously for the day after. On the day of the tour we were served by an unfriendly person which had difficulties with the credit card machine. Additionally, the tour has been booked on the wrong name even though we had filled out a form and paid a deposit. Unfortunately, the weather had changed surprisingly and it was too windy and cloudy to do the planned tour. However, the tour we did instead was still great: We visited the Refugio at 1,900 m, a lava cave and a local store with regional products. On our way up we stopped at several interesting spots and our well-informed guide explained a lot to us. Definitely a great experience.
