Itinerary
Meet your fellow travelers and your tour leader at Piazzale Montelungo in Florence and find a comfortable spot on your bus.
Let's start this amazing trip passing by one of the most iconic areas of Tuscany: the Chianti region. The area offers a unique landscape with gentle hills, rolling fields of vineyards and olive groves, small medieval towns and breathtaking sceneries.
Even before arriving at your destination, you will be struck by the high ancient towers that define the skyline of San Gimignano. The bus will drop you off at the city gate and with a short walk you will easily reach the main street. Walk through the little narrow cobblestone streets to feel its genuine and unique medieval atmosphere and reach Piazza della Cisterna, once the market square used also as a stage for festivals and tournaments. Take the open passage and enter Piazza Duomo, home to the Municipal Palace, and climb up to the top of the Torre Grossa: the highest tower of the city that counts 218 steps. Once you reach the top, a 360-degree view of the surrounding hills will open just in front of you, making the effort of the climb definitely worth it.
To end the day in style, there’s nothing better than a beautiful picnic in the Tuscan countryside, accompanied by a wine tasting where you’ll have the chance to try typical tuscan products and the famous Vernaccia di San Gimignano: a fresh and delicate white wine with floral and fruity aromas. The perfect opportunity to toast to the adventure just experienced before returning to Florence.
Get back to Florence in total comfort and relax, pampered by the memories of the beautiful day spent in the heart of vineyards and rolling hills.

If you love the medieval vibes and history, you’ll love this city! San Gimgiano was SO cool. It felt like I was transported back to that era. Out of all the gelato my family and I tried in Cinque Terre, Rome, Florence— San Gimgiano had the best gelato (Dondoli- like the tour guide mentioned). Also, the best thin crust, crispy pizza (supperr small to-go place; can’t remember the name. They had rock music playing and the guy looked hardcore lol). Tour guide was great, very helpful, friendly, gave good tips. Not too much detail/background on the cities, but did provide some. The vineyard picnic was beautiful. So relaxing and beautiful. Food/wine was okay, but the views were great.
This excursion met our expectations perfectly. Small group, free time to visit SanGimognano, super picnic in a small vineyard presenting their wine and beautiful plates simple and excellent. Sitting outside next to the vineyards and surrounded by a beautiful landscape.
It was a wonderful experince and our guide Canberk was very helpful. Thanks to him, my trip was excellent

This was an EXCEPTIONAL tour with our driver Christian! He provided us with a vast history of San Gimignano and gave us plenty tips of points of interest inside the town. The picnic with wine tasting and charcuterie was amazing and provided incredible views of San Gamignano and the countryside. We are grateful to Christian for a wonderful experience. 11/10 rating! Must do!
Beautiful sceneries. Zorah and the driver were fun. Lovely pic nic. The wine shop is so pretty. Would really recommend.
San Gimignano is such a beautiful place! We had a very nice experience at both the city and wine tasting. Our tour guide, Christian, is very kind and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend!
I had a lovely time in this tour. San Gimignano is beautiful and worth the visit! Our guide Cristian was very friendly and knowledgeable, he told us many interesting things about the town and the Chianti region.
Our trip could not have been more professional and enjoyable. Our guide Christian was thoroughly knowledgeable and took us through the people and the history of the region during our drive from Florence. His expertise added immensely to our enjoyment, and the luncheon and wine tasting were superb. Highly recommended…great fun and good value. Best wishes, Anne and Mario Sydney Australia
Christian was a fantastic guide, full of local knowledge and history and a very engaging local personality. He took us on a glorious late morning trip that included San Gimignano and then a luncheon and wine tasting. Wonderful experience from every perspective: easy booking, great directions with a passionate guide. Cannot recommend this company and Christian more highly. More Australian guests for sure when we tell our friends how much fun we had. Annie and Murray, Sydney Australia
