Austin is full of scary stories (and we’re not just talking about the rent prices or traffic.) Join us on this delightfully ghoulish, 18+ adults-only, guided walking ghost tour that highlights some of downtown Austin’s most haunted locations! We'll tell tales of other things that go bump in the night from Austin’s first serial killer to urban legends and even some cult activity. The tour is a “boo-tique” experience where we take our storytelling seriously, but not ourselves! We strive to provide engaging ghost tours that honor the spirits we’re discussing without bogging them down with long historical asides you’ll surely forget about. (We also love a good pun...) Please note: This tour is not a deep dive into Austin’s city history and is NOT a paranormal investigation. The only building we’ll go inside is the Driskill Hotel when available. If you see a ghost in a window or have an unexplained experience, that’s a cherry on top! We’re simply purveyors of spooky tales.

Itinerary
We’ll start our tour outside the beautiful Texas State Capitol. We’ll discuss the ghosts that still haunt the shadows of the building’s historic halls & a few urban legends that keep Austin weird.
From the ghosts of Texans past, to phantom horses, to ghoulish parties, we’ll stop in front of the Governor’s mansion where you can snap a quick pic and learn of the many mysterious happenings in the building that occur to this day. As we head to our next haunt, we'll chat serial killers in the Capital city.
A lady in white, missing candy bars and haunted projectors, a boy who loves magicians… all fitting ghosties for a storied theatre.
As we head to our final destination, we’ll cover a brief history of what was once meant to be the tallest building in Austin (laughable now), in addition to discussing a number of Texas urban legends like the Donkey Lady. We’ll also discuss some of the cults who called Austin home in times gone by… (and maybe even to this day?)
The Driskill Hotel isn’t just a beautiful building in the heart of downtown, it is also one of the most haunted hotels in the state. We’ll cover the Austin's most famous spirits here; from jilted brides, to little girls, portraits that seem to watch your every move, elevators with grumpy ghostly men, and more, we save the best for last and pack our final Ha Ha Haunted punch with our tour’s finale! Note: We do not go inside the Driskill.

We went on a tour with Celia and we just had the absolute best time! She was so fun and funny and also very informative. The length of the walking wasn’t too bad and she accommodated stopping near benches for my mom to be able to sit as well. She was respectful of the victims of crimes she shared about and also differentiated when she was telling a story about something verifiable versus just lore which was neat! 10/10 recommend! We took this tour 3 days ago and we’re still talking about how much we liked it and her!

Bring your walking shoes and use the restroom ahead of time. Dress accordingly to weather and be prepared for a uphill incline

Celia was our guide and did an amazing job. I generally don't care for guided tours because they feel so canned and scripted. Celia is not that kind of guide. She covers relevant facts to set the stage, but then the magic is in the details and stories she shares. Her passion for Austin is on full display and she has gone above and beyond by doing additional research on the backstories of the people. The result is a truly unique and informative experience, and her sense of humor is the cherry on top.
