The best of Jameson & Guinness!

Kate was a super upbeat and knowledgeable tour guide as she led us from spot to spot. Jameson tour was very informative with generous tastings and a well planned experience. Brief stop at the Brazen Head was not much, but we had plenty of time to explore the Guinness Storehouse. We liked the flexibility of how we wanted to tour the Guinness site and spent most of our time enjoying a pint in the Gravity Bar. A little pricey, but a positive experience overall!

Fun touting and mixing and tasting with a warm and informative guide.

Great tour of Guinness Storehouse, fun testing and mixing and tasting and touring Roe Whiskey Distillery and seeing BrazenHead Pub. Alan with the Yellow Hat was a warm, welcoming, knowledgeable guide who kept us all together and on schedule with a relaxed authority.

100% Recommend! A great day out!

Guinness and Roe & Co both excellent experiences. Our guide Dermot was “Irish friendly” and very solicitous of our needs. The cocktail blending at Roe was super informative and delicious!

Fun and informative tour!

This tour was a lot of fun and Alan was a wonderful guide. We were able to by-pass the lines at the Guinness Storehouse and had fun mixing up cocktails at the Roe & Co. Distillery. Our final stop at Brazen Head was a lot of fun but this is where the tour ended and we continued! We listened to live music while drinking our Guinness with all the new insights we gained from Alan and the tour. We definitely recommend this tour.

A tour that includes drinking & laughing - what could be better?!

We had a great time on this tour! There was so much to see at the Storehouse - finishing with a drink at the Gravity Bar was perfect! And making our own cocktails at the Roe & Co distillery stop was especially fun! But the best part was the company. Our tour guide, Neil McCourt, told great Dublin stories, dumb dad jokes, and generally kept our group vibe fun. We highly recommend this tour!

Highly Offensive and Disengaged Guide – Save Your Money

We booked the "Guinness Storehouse, Irish Whiskey Experience and Brazen Head" excursion with Letz Go City Tours expecting a fun, immersive dive into Dublin's whiskey and beer culture. While the itinerary itself is great, our guide, Roger, made it memorable for all the wrong reasons. We were a small group of 5, and I can only imagine what a disaster this would have been if he had a large group to manage. From the start, Roger seemed completely disengaged and like he was just going through the motions. At the Guinness Storehouse, he rushed us through the tour and was surprisingly negative about several of the exhibits. As a guide, your job is to bring energy and a positive spin to the experience, but he simply didn't seem into it. Furthermore, he wasn't helpful at all when members of our group needed assistance finding elevators or navigating the stairs. He added absolutely nothing to this portion of the day, or to our time at Roe & Co. He basically just walked us to the locations and handed us off. We easily could have bought these tickets and done this on our own. (Note: The internal tour guide at Roe & Co was awesome, but Letz Go City Tours gets no credit for that). Things went completely downhill on the way to the Brazen Head. Roger actually announced, "I am supposed to take you to Brazen Head next," making it entirely clear he considered it a chore. He then proceeded to ask if we minded if he smoked while actively guiding us—who does that? The absolute lowest point of the tour, however, was his completely unprompted and offensive commentary. While walking, he pointed out lower-income, rent-controlled neighborhoods and openly questioned how the people living there could afford the newest cars and cell phones. It was wildly inappropriate and made our entire group extremely uncomfortable. By the end of the excursion, we simply could not wait for it to be over. Do yourself a favor: skip this tour, save your money, and book the skip-the-line tickets for these locations on your own.

Operator response

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, although we must respectfully disagree with your overall description of the experience and of your guide Roger. Roger is one of our experienced Dublin guides who has welcomed many guests and consistently receives excellent feedback for his knowledge of Dublin, Irish history, and storytelling. The experience you describe is very different from the feedback we regularly receive from guests who tour with him. We would also like to clarify the structure of this experience, as there appears to be some misunderstanding. This tour is not designed as simply a collection of admission tickets that guests purchase separately. It combines three of Dublin’s most iconic experiences — the story of Irish whiskey, the Guinness legacy, and the historic Liberties area — with a local guide connecting these locations and bringing the history of this fascinating part of Dublin to life. At locations such as the Guinness Storehouse and whiskey experiences, the venues themselves provide specific elements of the experience, tastings, and visitor journey. Our guides complement these experiences by providing the wider historical context, helping guests understand the importance of these brands, their connection to Dublin, and the neighbourhood that shaped them. Regarding the comments attributed to Roger, we take all guest feedback seriously. However, the description provided does not reflect the professional standards we expect from our guides, nor does it match the many positive comments we have received from previous guests regarding Roger’s approach and personality. The Liberties is one of Dublin’s oldest and most historic communities, and our guides speak about this area with great respect — from its working-class history and traditions to its important role in brewing, distilling, and the story of the city. We are sorry that the tour did not meet your personal expectations, but we do disagree that the experience is simply walking between venues. For many guests, it is the stories, local knowledge, history, and connection between these famous locations that make the experience memorable. Kind regards, The LetzGo City Tours Team
