Guilds Towers and Dracula Self Guided Tour of Sighisoara

Description
Vlad the Impaler was supposedly born in a yellow house, and the title his father carried, Dracul, is where Bram Stoker found the name Dracula. That house is one stop on this self-guided audio walking tour of Sighisoara, narrated through an app as you walk at your own pace. Over two hours you will trace the guild towers raised by Saxon craftsmen, read a clock that changes a Roman god for each day, climb a covered staircase built so children could reach school through deep snow, and finish at the cemetery of the people who built every stone here and have now almost all left. There is no fixed start time and no group to follow. Press play at each stop, pause for photos, and let the map lead you to the next. Over 20,000 travelers have used our self-guided tours, and this walking tour comes with a full refund guarantee. If you would rather understand Sighisoara than only photograph it, this tour is for you.

Itinerary
Start where a single tower changes shape four times as you follow it upward, and learn why.
Look up at a clock with two different faces whose figures rotate at the stroke of midnight.
Step up to the yellow house where a prince was born and a vampire's name was first forged.
Find the stag's head fixed to this corner, then hear how one resident reached America centuries early.
Notice windows shaped like a Doge's palace and decode what they quietly announced about the owner.
Consider why a tower full of gunpowder and a widow's laundry fire reshaped this entire town.
Weigh why the richest guild's tower exploded while its poorer neighbours survived the same blaze.
See why the humble butcher held a guild role that could decide whether a siege ended in surrender.
Climb a roofed wooden staircase built for one tender reason involving children and Transylvanian snow.
Walk up to a school running for five centuries and meet the headmaster who saved vanishing folktales.
Read German names and carved tools on the graves of the vanished community that built every stone here.

A good option to go at your own pace. It doesn't surpass the in-person guide, but it is a really good resource.
¡Gracias por tu comentario! Nos alegra que disfrutaras de la flexibilidad de recorrer la ciudad a tu propio ritmo.
If you want to truly get to know Sighișoara, you'll love this self-guided audio tour! I was absolutely thrilled with it. The narration felt like having an excellent personal guide, the map and route were easy to follow, and the stories and history at each stop were fascinating. The photos in the app made it easy to confirm I was at the right location. I always enjoy guided walking tours, but since I arrived too late to join one in Sighișoara, I ended up doing this instead—and I'm actually glad I did. Exploring at my own pace was a much more enjoyable experience than following a large group, and I learned so much about this remarkable and beautiful medieval town. Tip: Bring earbuds for the best experience. Highly recommended!
Thank you for the wonderful feedback. We're delighted you enjoyed exploring Sighișoara at your own pace and had such a memorable experience.
