Great overview of Austrian wines and nice interactions with the regular local customers. Would visit again, great wine shop.
This was not a wine tasting but just the shop owner pouring us three glasses of wine. He offered no real explanation on the location or producer or tasting notes and half way through went and set down. He didn't seem very interested. We would have at least thought he would have a map Austrian wine regions etc. We actually did our own research on the internet to find out about each wine and producer and despite seeing us do that no further effort was made. On the plus side we ended up chatting to three locals who were having their own afternoon drinks and got dome goid local information on places to visit. It was very expensive for what it was and what it definitely wasn't was a wine tasting.
Nice ambience and delicious wines - all questions were answered friendly and competent. In addition to the three wines, there were also delicious snacks. A real recommendation!
We tasted 3 different wines - a sparkling, a white and a red in this jolly wine bar. Each wine was accompanied by interesting explanation and some food. We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting and stayed on for an extra glass of wine afterwards.
The wine tasting was pleasant overall, but the experience didn’t quite match the description. The “hidden wine bar” turned out to be on a main street in the town, and the setting itself wasn’t particularly distinctive in terms of decor or atmosphere. Only white wines were offered They were decent, though a bit more variety would have been welcome. Our group made the experience enjoyable, but the host didn’t seem especially engaged. Still, it was a relaxed way to sample local Austrian wines and the accompanying snacks were tasty.
Great warm welcome and great 3 wines. The snacks were also nicely prepared. chosen3 wines and the introdyctions were knowledgeable and wekk presented. Ambiance was welcoming !
Strange location, felt uncomfortable, not very good wine options. It was only two of us for the tasting, not a normal situation.
We got there early and he didn't bat an eye, just told us where to sit and started pouring the wine! The wine was sehr gut and the appetizers were something we had never had previously but very nice. Would definitely do this tour again if we come back to Saltzburg.
This event took place in an unassuming small bar with friendly hosts who introduced an excellent selection of wines along with delightful mini open face sandwiches. I hit it off with other participants in the event right away and had a wonderful time. This is definitely an event not to miss once one had enough of Mozart motif activities in Salzburg.
Wines were great and we met some travelers. The tasting was in the shop and there was not much education about the wines but we really enjoyed our company.
