Andy did a fantastic job conducting the tour in both English and German! He is highly knowledgeable about the entire history of Mainz and it was so fascinating learning from him! You won’t go wrong with booking this tour!
We took part in the tour with friends from outside. It was very entertaining for all of us and my husband and I, as locals, were able to enrich our knowledge of Mainz city history with some anecdotes.
Super guide, very good knowledge. Lots of info, loosely told. We were lucky that only 2 people participated in the tour. So it was individual.
Nice and competent guide. You can see and learn more by taking a guided city tour.
The tour was excellent - I truly enjoyed it. Mainz is a beautiful city with a fascinating history, especially its strong tradition of democratic culture. Andreas managed to present the city as a place where many layers of history lie on top of each other, from ancient times. The bilingual format (English/German) worked very well and made the tour engaging for everyone. I'm currently learning German, so it was especially interesting to hear both languages in context. Highly recommended!
