Can we pretend that this a six-star review? Somehow, five doesn’t do it justice. The early morning town tour on foot and by e-rickshaw with Seagull Jaunt was included by our Golden Triangle tour operator. The tour itself was well planned and covered everything promised but the absolute star was the guide – Kumkum. We’ve travelled over most of this world of ours and seen some amazing places with some great local guides but Kumkum easily one of the best we’ve had anywhere. She managed to answer all of our questions; she covered history and culture; guided us through markets and temples at our pace, instinctively knowing when to slow down when something interested us. She found us the pick of local street food (delicious) and introduced us to fascinating local characters. But, most of all, she made it all incredible fun! I can’t recommend this highly enough.
A lovely informative and at times energetic morning with the lovely Kumkum. Delicious things to eat, informative tour and lovely interaction with locals at laughing yoga the market and the temple.
Fantastic fun and interesting tour. If you're prepared to stretch your comfort zone a bit then this is the tour for you. Our guide was fantastic, we saw and participated in fun things and had some great "breakfast" food. Pre and post Dawn rickshaw ride, a religious ceremony, some yoga, great food and more. What's not to like?
The e rickshaw morning tour was perfect for us (ages 72 and 80) as I had a back injury that limited my enjoyment of walking. We had the opportunity to experience Jaipur without the crowds and traffic, and Umesh was an incredible guide. His enthusiasm and energy are infectious, and he made sure we got great photos to help remember a great experience. He is a very kind and empathetic person who seems to know everyone and has a story about every place that we visited. The chai, samosas, and other treats were delicious, he clearly knows the best places to visit. You are guaranteed to end this tour with a big smile on your face. I could not recommend it more highly.
Amazing experience! This city tour was absolutely wonderful, well organized, engaging, and full of beautiful places I would never have found on my own! Our guide was kind, knowledgeable, and made everything feel special. Truly one of the highlights of my trip!
We started as the sun rose and experienced the sights and sounds of the streets as we stopped at street vendors, tasting treats and savoring the Chai, as well as the flower and vegetable markets, chanting at a temple and laughing yoga in a park. Our guide Kum Kum was engaging and shared the wonder of the city in a unique way. Tour was personalized, very informational and what a breakfast we enjoyed as we hopped from vendor to chaiwala!
KumKum picked us up promptly at sunrise and whisked us away on e-rickshaw to watch the city awake whilst tasting the best street food and enjoying many spontaneous stops. All beautifully choreographed and able to help a few of our first-time-in-India family members to experience the real Jaipur under the overwhelming hustle and bustle. Compared with other tours which buried us in long-winded history and details. KumKum delivered the right level of narrative to keep us in the moment. She was brilliant in reading the members of our group and dialing in just the right experience. Kudos to KumKum.
What better way to explore Jaipur but by an early morning exploration that greeted the quiet morning before the sun was up. Our E-Rickshaw driver was conscientious and we felt very safe and in good hands. Kum Kum, our guide was exceptional - starting with her contagious smile to her in-depth knowledge of daily life in her city of Jaipur. We sampled the best Chai and Lassie Walllas and tried traditional street food like namkeen, kachori, pakoras…all this yummy food to get us ready to join the community for morning chanting and prayer at a temple and gathering in the City Palace garden for daily laughing yoga. Kum Kum made us feel very comfortable as she walked us through the early morning bustling vegetable and flower market. Here again we were met by Jaipur life, full of venders and curious people that extended their heart felt smiles our way. We were showered with marigold petals. Thank you Seagull Jaunt for giving me my highlight tour of Jaipur. I highly recommend your company and tour experience.
This early morning bicycle tour was an unforgettable experience and a fantastic way to experience the city. Feeding the cows, visiting the temple, the markets and watching craftsman at work are all part of this culturally rich tour. Plus, the breakfast and snack stops were fantastic! The city starts coming to life early but there is very little traffic in the morning so we felt safe at all times and Umesh made sure we had helmets, lights and there was also a guide at the back of the group. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to see authentic Jaipur!
All I can say is if you visit Jaipur, make sure you do the walking tour with Umesh. He will take you to so many hidden spot you would miss if you weren’t with him. It’s the perfect way to see the real Jaipur away from the main tourist spots. You’ll also get the chance to try a variety of delicious street food snacks. The highlight of the tour is Umesh himself. He seems to know everyone in Jaipur. He is hilarious and his love of the job shines through. Thank you for the memorable trip!
