Enjoy a unique and fun way to discover the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, close to Denver! Fully Guided We will teach you everything you need to know about llamas! We will help you to feel safe and confident leading your llama. Along the way, your guides will point out wildflowers, as well as special features and stories of the area. Close to Denver Our llama hikes take place within an hour of Denver. This makes the hike easily accessible, yet far enough into the foothills to let you experience all the mountains have to offer. Highly Personalized When you book a hike, you are reserving that hike for your group only. We have a minimum group number of 2 people and a maximum number of 4 in order to provide a personalized trip. We will take 2 llamas with us on the hike, and they will carry our gear. If you have more than 2 people in your group, you will be able to trade off who is leading a llama on the hike. Most children ages 8 and up will be able to lead a llama on their own.

On your personalized hike, you will traverse picturesque trails, winding through pine forests and open meadows. The Rocky Mountains provide the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable adventure. Our llamas are not only incredibly charming but also practical for carrying gear, snacks, and water. They add a unique twist to the hiking experience, making it a memorable outing perfect for families and friends! Our experienced guides are not only knowledgeable about the local flora, fauna, and lore but also dedicated to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of everyone on the hike. Our trail will give you the perfect experience of hiking in the Rocky Mountains! Our hike will last between 2- 2 1/2 hours. The trail length is about 3 miles and has a 500 elevation gain and loss. The starting elevation is 8100 feet. We had an amazing time! This was such an exciting and unique experience. Our guides were friendly and well informed. The hiking wasn’t difficult for us, for a novice. The scenery was beautiful and the llamas were so well behaved and the most adorable, fun animals. We will always remember this day!!
We had an amazing experience. Cara and Brent are very knowledgeable and passionate about their llamas. We were able to walk three llamas - Tribi, Elvis, and Gus. They were all great, very personable llamas. The trail was rugged but easily doable in sneakers. The llamas were very friendly, and we were able to pet them and, by the end, hug them. It was a wonderful hike. My wife and teen girls can't stop talking about how much fun they had. I highly recommend this llama hike.

Cara and Brent were amazing guides who shared their wonderful llamas with us. We walked three llamas - Tribi, Elvis, and Gus through a picturesue park. Cara and Brent are very knowledgeable, explained so much, and are very engaging. The llamas are very people friendly and we were able to pet, and even hug them, by the end. The trail is rugged but easily doable in sneakers. Our children can't stop talking about how much fun they had, and we would absolutely do it again.

We had an absolutely incredible time on Kara and Brent’s llama hike! From start to finish, they were welcoming, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their animals. The hike itself was beautiful, but the real stars were the llamas—Triby, Elvis, and Gus. Triby was friendly and curious, Elvis had so much personality and kept us smiling the entire hike, and Gus was calm, gentle, and an absolute joy to spend time with. All three llamas were well-trained, well-cared for, and made the experience unforgettable. Kara and Brent did a fantastic job sharing information about the llamas, answering questions, and making sure everyone felt comfortable and included. You can tell how much love and care they put into both their animals and their guests’ experience. If you’re looking for a unique outdoor adventure with amazing people and wonderful animals, I cannot recommend Kara and Brent’s llama hike enough. It was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve had, and we can’t wait to come back!

We kicked off our family vacation with a llama hike, and it's been my daughter's favorite thing this whole trip. Triby and Elvis were very good boys, we saw a mama bear and a cub in the distance (so did Elvis, and he didn't forget it but he handled himself well), and the hike itself was very scenic and enjoyable. Great operators, great price, so much fun.

The llamas were so cute! We had Tryby and Elvis! So adorable! Kara & Brent were great tour guides. The trail was beautiful. We started by introducing ourselves to the llamas and got to hand feed them! And we ended the tour with llama pictures and giving them a big llama hug! The llamas were similar to walking a dog. On the trail, we some elk too! Kara was very knowledgeable about the plant life and the history of the ranch as well. I learned that Aspen trees have salicylic acid on the bark (aspirin).

Fun, unique, relaxing hike with personable llamas and lovely guides! If you want a memorable experience outdoors, this is well worth the price. Our guides Kara and Brent were friendly and clearly love their llamas. Kara gave us facts about local mountain flora, so we also got an educational nature walk. The llamas were relaxed and easy to handle, had unique personalities with their own quirks, and were very cute and silly. It was a relatively easy hike and a good length, about two hours. Very happy with our experience and I would recommend it to anyone I know.
