Guided Day Tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum with Light Lunch

Description
TUI PLUS - If you want an even closer insight into these two UNESCO sites, join us on this exclusively limited to 25 people per guide. These sister cities were frozen in time for almost 1700 years, destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79AD. Preserved in ash, Pompeii is a fine example of a commercial Roman city. Herculaneum is a quiet seaside town that was actually preserved in mud. Both cities will be brought to life by our guide's commentary through radio headsets, so you do not miss a bit of what life was like during the Roman Empire. There is also a light lunch included. To give you a skip the line service, entrance fees are included at the time of booking.

Absolute must trip to do when in Sorrento. Our guide was amazing and very knowledgeable about all aspects of Pompeii. Would definitely do this trip again. Thanks
Donna was a great guide- so knowledgeable and calm among the chaos of Pompeii tourists. We fit a lot into the day and learned a lot. Would definitely recommend
Our trip in total was about 6 hours. Both sites are a must see and in our case absolutely blew our minds. The weather was very hot so go prepared. Dana was a fantastic guide and we really appreciate all her knowledge, it made our trip.
Good tour, good lunch, great experience! The sites were interesting and the guide very knowledgeable.
Best to do both towns in one trip to save 2 trips down the coastal road from Sorrento which tends to be very busy . Our guide Eugene was very knowledgable and helpful, and went at the groups pace . The Lunch was an added bonus being 3 courses , and served up professionally in a spotless, comfortable venue .
A really informative day. Dania was amazing and provided a huge amount of history about both ancient cities. Having a guide it's better as signage around the sites are minimal. Dania was also a lot of fun. Lunch was surprisingly good for a tour (3courses and in a proper hotel!l The only thing to note is this: if you struggle to walk for distances, doing both in a day can be taxing and the pavements are uneven so good shoes are needed. The heat was pretty intense so July would be unbearable. Its a ling day so if you struggle with fitness only do one at a time. Thanks again to Dania who was amazing
Wonderful experience! We had an amazing tour guide who had extensive knowledge, quite impressive! We loved it! Please Keep in mind these are ancient ruins sites and anyone with mobility issues will find it challenging. The lunch was delicious, even though it’s described as a light lunch it was much more than we expected!!
The tour and lunch and Carmine the guide were all good. The bus was horrible. There was no AC it was a long brutal trip. Carmine finally got the bus company to send a replacement for the way home. I don’t think we would have survived the trip back it was so hot in that vehicle .It’s a long day and lots of walking up and down on rough surfaces. Wear good shoes, dress in layers as it was extremely hot in the afternoon.
Quite a slow journey along the coast road but once there Karmine was an excellent and humorous guide.
Tours were very intesting! There is much to be said for seeing the physical places involved!! I would do it again in November or early April. The guide was terrific. Driver was amazing. Wouldnt want to drive that big bus on those narrow streets! Lunch was good. It was a hot day and it was crowded. It would have been nice to have some extra cold bottles of water on board.
