Your licensed guide will share insights into the palace’s history, royal ceremonies, and the importance of this area, which also houses government offices. Visits are limited to the exterior, but the stop offers a fascinating introduction to Morocco’s modern monarchy.
Explore the Kasbah des Oudayas, a 12th-century fortress overlooking the Bouregreg River. Your guide will lead you through its narrow blue-and-white streets, Andalusian gardens, and historic gates while sharing stories about Rabat’s earliest settlements. Facing the Hassan Tower, this magnificent mausoleum houses the tombs of King Mohammed V and his sons, King Hassan II and Prince Abdallah. Travelers will admire the intricate marble work, zellige mosaics, and carved cedar wood ceilings while learning about Morocco’s modern royal history.
This iconic 12th-century minaret is one of Rabat’s most famous landmarks. This is already the third time Badia has accompanied my group as a guide, and each time I am sincerely very satisfied. Badia is competent, educated and able to share her knowledge in a clear, lively and interesting way. We feel that she loves her country deeply and speaks about it with passion, respect and authenticity. She is also very professional: punctual, well organized, with an excellent presentation and very good contact with the group. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a serious, pleasant and passionate guide.
It's a private tour on foot, which I didn't quite realize at first. Imane is a very nice and professional guide. If you are seriously interested in the culture, history and politics of Morocco, you should book this tour with it. The King's palace is only to be photographed from the outside, but access to the area without a guide is not permitted. The historical and political information on the royal family and Morocco was only comprehensible to us in the context of this visit. Likewise, the Hasan Tower and the Mausoleum Mohammed the V were unique and memorable only with the visit on site. Since we had already seen the Kasbah the day before, our last site was the Chellar. This historic square with garden was and is a special place for us. Imane gave us all the information we needed. We did the sightseeing alone, including a stop at the stork cafe with a magnificent view.

Excellent experience with our guide Badia! Smiling, very cultured and extremely friendly, she made the visit both rewarding and enjoyable. Her knowledge of Rabat’s history and culture is impressive, and she shares it all with passion and authenticity. Badia perfectly embodies the image of a modern Morocco while remaining deeply attached to its traditions. Thanks to it, we discovered the city from a unique and human perspective. I highly recommend this visit to anyone wishing to discover Rabat differently!
I rarely had the chance to discover the city of Rabat I am often passing by but this time I decided to do it in tourist mode Meeting Badia was the opportunity to know the history of the city monuments and even to discover the ancient medina And I'll be back very soon
This is a great intimate way of exploring the historical aspects of Rabat. It is a walking tour so this should be stipulated from the advert. Our experience was not ideal because it was raining and cold. The guide was quite pleasant knowledgeable.
Thank you very much for your feedback. It was truly a pleasure for us to show you around. Unfortunately, there was a lot of rain, but that was beyond our control.”
