From here, our guide will organize the entry ticket to the area, as well as Kecak Dance ticket without a long queue. The guide will escort you the temple area, share the local knowledge, show the best photography spots and help you taking the pictures. And the most important, he will protect you from the naughty monkeys who lives nearby the temple. Uluwatu Temple offers spectacular view of the cliffs, facing the Indian Ocean. It is the best spot to see sunset in Bali. Another highlights is Kecak and Fire Dance, where 70 performers bring to life the enchanting tale of Rama and Sinta, enhanced by their vocal chants and intricate costumes. The show is performed twice daily, 1st show at 6pm to 7pm, and the 2nd show at 7:15pm to 8:15pm. Choose either watch the show along with the sunset (1st show) or take the 2nd show to enjoy it separately.

Uluwatu Temple — known locally as "Pura Luhur Uluwatu", stands as a breathtaking testament to Bali’s spiritual and natural splendor. Perched majestically on a 70-meter cliff, this iconic temple offers more than just a stunning view; it’s a gateway to the soul of Bali, where tradition, culture, and the elements converge in a powerful display of beauty and reverence.
The Kecak Dance, one of Bali’s most iconic performances, inspired by the sacred Sanghyang dance, which is performed to ward off negative spirits, they adapted the ritual into a dramatic storytelling dance based on the Ramayana epic. Unlike traditional Balinese dance, Kecak Dance does not use musical instruments; instead, it relies entirely on the synchronized chanting of a large male chorus, producing the famous "cak-cak-cak" sound.

Spectacular evening!. Our guide, Made Wena met us in front of the gate and made our check in faster and easier. He showed us the temple and surroundings area before the Kecak dance started. He also pointed us the best seats to watch the show. Really recommended!

Our guide Budi was brilliant. He made sure we didn’t lose any personal items to the monkeys and came prepared with little bananas to feed them. He also provided a good insight into the temple and its history and advised the best ways to get in and out of the performance venue as it was really busy. The show was amazing and we were thoroughly entertained. All-in-all a great evening out.

Huge thanks to our guide, Darma, for making this a memorable experience for us. Everything as said in the booking details were promptly delivered. We went as a family with an 8 yo and Darma took good care so that our kid doesn’t get scared of the monkeys.
