Veruska is amazing. She knows the history of chocolate and cacao and is very funny and kind! Highly recommend.
Kukul Tales is thrilled to share the importance of cacao with you. Thank you for joining us for this experience. We hope to see you again soon!
Veruska explained everything in a really fun way. We made the mayan cacao beverages starting from the beans and did a chocolate bar tasting. Both activities were really interesting and we had a lot of fun with Veruska!
Veru is incredible at sharing the history of cacao and creating this experience. We're so glad you enjoyed your experience with Kukul Tales. We hope to see you again!
Amazing beautiful experience with wonderful ladies who taught me all about cacao! I would highly recommend this to ANYONE who is interested in a unique Guatemalan experience
Thank you for take this cacao experience with Kukul Tales. We hope to see you again!
Had the most amazing time learning about Guatemalan cacao with Kukul Tales. Not only was it held at the cutest venue (El Comalote - be sure to grab breakfast or lunch there!) but Rebeca is the most passionate hostess. She offers a wealth of knowledge about all things cacao and Guatemalan culture and cuisine. The workshop was very engaging and fun and ended in local chocolate tasting. She also told us all about the local fair trade and wage initiatives and how the modern day cacao industry is making a difference in the local communities. She's truly a guardian of the Mayan cacao tradition. All in all a fantastic and informative way to spend an afternoon. Wish I had more time to take her cooking workshop in a local home or the popular street food tour. Hopefully next time. Thank you Rebeca!
Thank you so much for joining our workshop Gaby! I’m so happy you and your mom had a great time! We hope to see you soon in Guatemala
This was amazing in so many ways. Rebecca taught us the historic and cultural aspects of cacao farming and showed us and had us do the process of turning raw cacao into chocolate. Tasting and rating four different varieties of locally produced chocolate was fun and delicious. I will never touch a Hershey's Kiss again
I’m so happy to read this! Thank you so much for taking this workshop with us! We hope to see you again in Antigua and try more chocolate 🙌🏼
This class was so much fun! Highly educational -we learned much about Mayan ceremonial chocolate and made drinking chocolate and had a single origin chocolate tasting experience. Rebecca is passionate about this subject! Definitely the best way to learn about the history and magic that surrounds this amazing fruit
Thank you so much for joining this workshop and appreciate our cacao culture Barbara! We hope to see you soon and lead more about chocolate!
Me and my sister absolutely LOVED this experience making a traditional cacao beverage and tasting delicious local chocolate. If you are staying in Antigua you will not regret adding this to your itinerary. Our guides were so friendly, knowledgeable and made the experience so fun and enjoyable!
Thank you so much for taking this workshop with us Abbey! We hope to see you soon in Guatemala again!
An authentic experience with a wonderful guide (Rebeca). It was a hands on tutorial from the “man” himself at his home and workplace that was fun and satisfying. We made our own chocolate bars from scratch, using the methods of an generational man-made process. Well worth your time and money.
I had an amazing time! I purchased two activities. The first involved making my own chocolate bars and a chocolate tasting. The second involved making a traditional ceremonial drink from scratch. I highly recommend the experience!
