Description

Xíhuá Road is where Guangzhou still eats like Guangzhou. No tourist food street signs, no polished interiors — just generations of locals lining up daily for rice noodle rolls, beef offal, sticky rice dumplings, sweet soups, and sesame paste. In just two hours, we walk this old Cantonese neighborhood together, stopping at long-running local favorites that specialize in only one or two dishes perfected over decades. Along the way, you’ll taste coconut silkie chicken soup, braised beef offal, traditional sticky rice dumplings with pork belly and salted egg yolk, pan-fried buns or dumplings, sesame paste desserts, and finish with a classic Xíhuá Road lemon tea. This is not a staged food tour — it’s a deep dive into the everyday rhythm of Cantonese eating, guided in the exact order locals would eat it: soup first, savory dishes in the middle, sweets to finish. No research, no guessing, no wasting time in the wrong queues — just the best of Xíhuá Road, eaten properly.

Real Cantonese Tastes

Great tour! We absolutely got our fill in this 2-hour adventure. We tasted 6 or 7 traditional Cantonese dishes like shark fin soup, pork and shrimp dumplings, coconut silkie soup and more, all made and served in tiny mom & pop shops along Xihua Road. Plus, our guide, Raymond, was a delight. He not only introduced us to amazing foods, but in our power-chats, we connected like old friends! We like to say we had a 2-hour cultural exchange. Don’t miss this one.
