Group Surf Lesson at Kalapaki Beach
Description
We’ve been teaching surfing since 1983 on Kauai’s best learning beach, Kalapaki Beach. Learn how to paddle and balance on your board and master the basics. We offer small classes, expert surf instructors, and the best gear including a board, leash and rash guard. With gentle trade winds and the protection of Kalapaki Bay, the surf is always up! Kalapaki is a beginner/intermediate reef break. All participants must be able to swim. Minimum age is 10 years old.

Beautiful beach. Waves our further, can’t walk out, so compared to Hannalei and Poipu, the kids don’t catch as many waves, but the waves are longer. Way less crowded than the other surf school spots, though. Even with a cruise ship docked.
Wonderful experience! I had so much fun. Christian was an excellent instructor very funny, very patient, provided straightforward, easy to understand instructions. I had a blast. I believe you will too! I cannot wait for my next experience with Kauai Beach Boys!!!!
Nelson was so great he taught very well gave great tips and every time we went he gave something to maybe fix if you fell or just gave motivation to go again. Would recommend. Thank you Nelson!!
Highly recommend these guys! Easy to book, great staff, and amazing time. Booked my daughter a "group surf lesson at kalapaki beach" for 1.5 hrs. Great little spot. Small beach perfect for learning. Instructor was great, easy to understand & talk to, and very helpful. She had an awesome time, and was able to stand up and surf on her own. Will definitely be a memorable experience. Wish I did it with her. Thank you for teaching her!
The surfing lesson covered the basics and gave us confidence. Our instructor, Chris, was patient and helped us understand what to do. The waves were good for a beginner, and he helped us pick the right waves to attempt to ride. Even though we were only able to stand up for a couple of seconds on each wave, we would definitely try this again. Highly recommend.
Amazing surf lesson for my daughters and me. Would do it again, hands down. Krishan is the man. He helped us ride some pretty fussy waves, all while navigating the local pecking order. Got the longest ride of my life on my last go. Loved his tips and tidbits of knowledge.
We had a GREAT time! Krishon was our instructor and he was so knowledgeable! He was patient with us and totally supportive. He helped us catch good waves - which we could not have done without help. We feel grateful to have taken the lesson. Totally worth it. We also rented beach chairs and an umbrella from Beach Boys as well. We walked down to the beach and ate at Sonata by Marriott. It was a perfect Hawaiian day!
Sign up for the surfing lesson was super simple, and we had an amazing coach named Kai that helped us stand up and ride a wave for the first time ever! Highly recommend this spot for surfers of all skill levels; a professional and fun atmosphere for a wonderful experience.
Instructor was awesome and gave great tips. Lots of locals that were polite or ket to themselves. There were families along the rockwall that would cheer or laugh when you crash, but I really enjoyed it! Tons of fun and a highlight of my trip.
