Very beautiful cave.

After descending the stairs, we arrive in a superb room where daylight can be seen above, and then the path is well marked. To go back up, there is an elevator.

Very nice

Nice site. We took the big tour but I think the small tour is enough. We also had a lot of student groups. Visit in French only in July and August.

Incorrect pick up locations.

Very poor communicating exact location for pick up. Advised we’d be picked up at 2:30 in front of rail station. Clicked on “specific directions” link the map & directions were different. Local policeman said directions were for the Moro Plaza, .4 mile away. Waited there & sent 3 texts to guide. No response. One response was he’d be at front of rail station at 3;00. Went back to rail station. Employee there said the front of rail station is on the opposite side. So we walked to the opposite & waited. Sent 4th text advising driver where we were. At 3;05 he called saying he was in front of rail station. Couldn’t find him. He described where he was & I held him on the phone till we hooked up. I told him the police said the fri t if the station is where we were waiting. We told the driver he was at the back of the train station not the front. Two wrong directions given. The map directions are wrong as validated by the locals. And the driver was in back of the rail station. The employees there validated your pick up locations are wrong. One of our guests had to drop out of the tour. He wants to be reimbursed.

Fantastic.

Wonderful!!! Worth the complete visit of 3 km. The cave is formed by several salons, each with its own formations and characteristics!

Ok but long

Tour was interesting but a little long if you are toting small children. Van driver did not know how to install the child’s car seat and we couldn’t figure it out either so our almost 2 year old had to sit on laps - not ideal.

very bad........

I assure you that I have never had a worse guided tour than this one. Yesterday I accompanied my students on a trip (we were 95 people). First of all we were divided into just two groups (perhaps because it is thought that kids on a trip should be treated with mediocrity) with a guide (?????) at the beginning who SHOULD have explained, illustrated and involved the kids for the entire duration of the walk and one that only served as a closer. The first said just two things at the beginning and then another two things along the way (for the first ones who arrived close to him and without waiting for the last of the group), the second was just a presence. Obviously, without stops and without any participation, we ran in a marathon lasting about an hour without observing the beauty that surrounded us (we were intent on not falling or slipping) which made us sweat so much that we remained in a t-shirt even standing 70 meters underground. It would have been better and certainly more profitable to create smaller groups and entrust the guide to people who enjoy being a tour guide and who also know how to involve and motivate the students on the trip. Luckily, Mother Nature took care of filling in all the gaps of an exaggeratedly bad organization

SPECTACULAR

Must visit. We were on the 1pm tour, bought tickets at 12:45. The tour was done in Italian with Manuella who attentively spoke slowly so we could understand. It was perfect! Clearly explained, there were little girls who were addressed with importance. The tour we did was short, it was very good. Thank you for the elevator ride. THANK YOU Manuella, very good!!!!

Beautiful

11 July 2022 If you come to Puglia you can not skip the stage Caves of Castellana I'm a spectacle of nature. I recommend the complete route even if it is 2 km long but you walk quietly and it is safe to do even with children. To make the route pleasant of course is the explanation of prepared guides. Too bad always for the uncivilized who, despite being told not to touch, spoil with touch the natural color of the stalagmites
