The National World War I Memorial is a national memorial commemorating the service rendered by members of the United States Armed Forces in World War I. The 2015 National Defense Authorization Act authorized the World War I Centennial Commission to build the memorial in Pershing Park, located at 14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, D.C. The park, which has existed since 1981, also contains the John J. Pershing General of the Armies commemorative work. In January 2016, the design commission selected the submission "The Weight of Sacrifice", by a team consisting of Joseph Weishaar, Sabin Howard, Phoebe Lickwar, and GWWO Architects, as the winning design,[1] which is expected to be completed by 2024.[2]
Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Located to the south of the National Mall, the national memorial is set in a park-like plaza, with large columns framing a mesh tapestry depicting the site of the Normandy landings, and sculptures and bas-reliefs arrayed in the park. Architect Frank Gehry designed the memorial and Sergey Eylanbekov sculpted the bronze statues of Eisenhower in various settings. The memorial's tapestry artist was Tomas Osinski, and the inscription artist, Nicholas Waite Benson. On October 25, 1999, the United States Congress created the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission, and charged it with creating "...an appropriate permanent memorial to Dwight D. Eisenhower...to perpetuate his memory and his contributions to the United States." The preliminary design proved controversial. After several years of hearings and several design changes by Gehry, final design approvals were given in 2017, when dignitaries held a groundbreaking ceremony at the four-acre site.

It really depends on which streets are open- there was a lot going on in DC while we were there but we got to a lot.
The tour with Bobby was fantastic. He was witty, entertaining, accommodating, and very informational about the sites we visited. We felt like we were hanging out with an old friend who knew the city inside and out, and showed us around. His van was super comfortable and easy. He made the experience for us outstanding. Could not recommend it more highly.
I enjoyed this tour. Ali was very accommodating and friendly. Ali was our tour guide and very resourceful. He is well versed on the history of all the monuments and sites visited. I would definitely tour again 😁
Dr. Ali was a great guide. He really knows the city and I loved how he quizzed us on some of the monuments.
The tour itself was ok. Was able to see a lot but the tour guide was rude, uncomfortable and not very friendly. When ever someone would ask a question he would interrupt them, put his hand up and say he would answer when he was ready. He also would repeat the same information over and over again. It was odd and annoying
Very informative kept the kids engaged, took his time. He was very patient and we did not feel rushed at all. Zoetry ensure that the kids were quiz. Overall great tour
Very informative guide, saw or visited all the big hitters. Driver was on time, very affordable trip for the sights you see
Thank you very much, William, for taking the time to share your feedback! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the Day or Night Grand Tour of DC with Optional Mount Vernon Upgrade and found the guide very informative. It’s great to know that you were able to see all the major highlights, that everything ran on time, and that you felt the tour offered excellent value for the sights experienced. Thank you for choosing Zohery Tours. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you back again on a future visit to Washington, DC.
The guide (Bobby) was very opinionated and pushed his point of view, with many of his opinions not based in reality. He told us other customers had called him the GOAT, and he repeatedly "reminded" us that tips are appreciated. He couldn't read the room and must have assumed we were leftists who don't care about reality. After the second stop, all of us were ready for it to be over, which is sad because for some of the group it was the first time seeing DC. If you use this vendor, make sure you aren't assigned to Bobby (unless you see the world through very FAR LEFT glasses in which case you'd probably love him).
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, especially on what should have been an enjoyable and meaningful first visit to Washington, DC for some members of your group. At Zohery Tours, our goal is to provide fact-based, respectful, and educational tours that welcome guests of all backgrounds and perspectives. We take concerns about a guide’s tone, personal opinions, and professionalism very seriously. Our tours are never intended to promote personal viewpoints or make guests feel uncomfortable in any way. We also strive to ensure that gratuities are never pressured or repeatedly mentioned, and we regret if this made you feel uneasy. Your comments have been shared internally so they can be reviewed carefully and addressed appropriately. We truly appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as honest feedback helps us improve. We regret that this experience overshadowed your time in DC, and we hope you’ll consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide the high-quality, balanced tour experience we are known for.
We got to see the sights, but they were gone in the blink of an eye. The silliest part of the journey was having only 20 minutes to view the Korean, Vietnam and Lincoln memorials with a round trip back to the bus.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate your honesty and are sorry to hear that the tour did not fully meet your expectations. Our Day or Night Grand Tour of DC is designed to provide an overview of the city’s major landmarks within a limited timeframe, which sometimes requires balancing driving narration with shorter stops at multiple memorials. We understand that for guests who wish to spend more time at specific sites—such as the Lincoln, Vietnam, and Korean War Memorials—the pace can feel rushed, and we regret that this affected your experience. Your comments are valuable and help us continue evaluating timing and tour flow. For visitors seeking longer, in-depth time at fewer locations, we often recommend our private or customized tours, which allow for greater flexibility. Thank you again for sharing your perspective, and we appreciate the opportunity to learn from your experience.
