Grand Canal, Murano Glass Factory + glass blowing experience!

Description
Meet your English-speaking guide and board a private water taxi to discover the uniqueness of the Grand Canal. Relax while listening to your guide, explaining the history and art of the city, and looking at the beauty of Venice unfolding in front of your eyes. Navigate the whole Grand Canal, then some minor typical canals of the city, up to the island of Murano. In Murano, get off at the private dock of one of the oldest glass factories of the island, to see a dem about the world-famous glass production. A representative of the glass factory will explain about the techniques and the materials that the Glass Masters have been using for centuries. Watch the Glass Master make a couple of items in front of your eyes and at the end, try to blow the glass (it is a simple try, you won't shape any object), a very fun experience. After the demo, have a look at the showroom and see the most beautiful pieces produced in Murano. Then, take a private water taxi back to Venice.

Amazing tour! Very informative guide and great team at the glass factory. A fun tour, relaxing discovering the Grand Canal and we even got the chance to see small typical canals. Glass master really skilled, working in front of our eyes. We even got the chance to try to blow the glass!
I found all I wanted in this tour! A little bit tired of more museums, we chose this tour and we didn't miss a thing of Venice. Great combination of highlights, Grand Canal by private boat and Murano glass experience. We even got the chance to blow the glass ourselves!
Great experience and great staff! We had so much fun! Our guide took good care of us, very knowledgeable. And the showroom, so many artworks, I bought a couple and everyday I am so happy to look at them at home and remember my experience in Murano.
The boat ride from our hotel and back was a wonderful experience and awesome views. The actual time in the forge seeing glass items being made was very short. We were then guided to the gift shop to look at glassware to purchase. All total at the Glass Factory about 20 minutes. We were then directed to the street and canal way to wander at our leisure and instructed to return by 4 pm for water taxi ride back We were picked up at 1 pm at our hotel and by 130 were on our own to view the isle of Murano
Nice to have a personal ride directly to the factory and boutique. Fun demo of glass blowing with a guide and a small group.
Overall we found all the tour lacking for the price. The master was outstanding, but we would have liked more explanation on the history of the glass industry. The boat transportation was fine, but was advertised as glass-bottomed, which it wasn’t. Also did not like that it seemed to be a funnel to the store after the tour.
It is written NOWHERE that our boat is glass-bottomed. You are mistaken! It is not fair to lie. During every tour there is multilingual staff to explain!
Great demonstration of glass making with a great guide. Very interesting. Got some free time in the shop to peruse items for purchase. Felt a little pressured to buy things. Private transportation via water taxi was nice. Four of us went so we each got a "gift" which was a blue horse. We probably didn't need four horses in one household
Our second time of visiting Murano. This time it was a special water taxi from the hotel and we were treated specially on arrival - spencial chairs behind a rope dividing us from the paying public who sat on benches. We saw an ornament being blown (impressive) and some chandelire elements being produced. Then we had a tour of a show room. But there is no such thing as a free gift and it felt like a lot of pressure to buy something. We didn't in the end purchase here - we needed some air anyway so walked up the street - and we came across a similar piece by the same artist for considerably less money! We'd been to Murano before so knew about the special galleries upstairs. We love the art, the craftsmanship and have now bought good 3 pieces in Murano. We appreciate the taxi over to Murano but the prices here were just to rich for us. We advice shopping around.
Boat trip was lovely Glass blowing demo was terrific Showroom- salesman a bit pushy… Beautiful place!
This was an excellent experience! First a quick boat ride straight to the shop, then a demonstration of the art. It was amazing to see a glass master at work! Deborah gave interesting details of the history of this art. Then on to see beautiful works of glass art. And in the shop we found many things in our budget. The staff wrapped our items with care and processed a tax refund. Great experience and wonderful hosts!
