Not as advertised and a bad experience.

Firstly it was not as advertised, not a convoy of self drive E Jeeps . It was one self drive E jeep, me, following a 6 seater vehicle with the guide and another 5 seater vehicle driven by company employee and 5 other tourists. So I was the only tourist driving. My E Jeep was faulty and the front wheels hit the front wing when turning, it had problems gettin in reverse.and felt unsafe. The Driver in the lead vehicle ,Abdul, turned into a closed road, I followed and then my car would not reverse . Abdul reaction got me annoyed , he was arrogant and rude at times. When we did stop for lunch they arranged for a replacement car for me ,a diesel one. As we were driving I could see Abdul pointing out the different sights and explaining to his passengers, same with the car behind. I learnt nothing about the villages we passed through. Then when we did stop, as everyone else was French , things were explained in French, which I do not speak. Luckily the older driver behind ,who was from Gozo , was great and took us to one side and explained things in English, he was so helpful it was him that made a day from hell tolerable. I am 73 years of age, fit and active, well travelled and have never experienced being talked down to by a guide on a trip anywhere in the world in such a way, until Abdul. 175 euro for 6-7 hours learning very little, being talked down to be a young man who needs Customer Relationship training, and being given a death trap to drive.

A std. sightseeing trip to Gozo

This "jeep safari" went like this: We had the only E-Jeep and told to stay in slowest (ECO) mode, were it hardly is any fun to drive (we arrived in the evening with 83% battery - so completely unneccessary). Then we had to drive behind a slow non-E Tuk-tuk filled with 6 passengers, which was very slow and boring either. 95% of the way was just paved streets in and through cities and villages to visit churches (at least three, then I stopped counting). The guide did not even follow the full itinerary as we did not stop in Xlendi bay to visit "caves and cliffs". The "light luch" of local food was rather disappointing and of mediocre quality. The wine even to be avoided (no taste). And we never went to places which would have required a "Jeep" at all, which renders the entire trip quite pointless. So all in all I cannot recommend it, as it was rather boring and just like any random standard sightseeing tour for a few €.

Unforgettable e-Jeep Adventure in Gozo!

We had an incredible time on the e-Jeep tour of Gozo — truly one for the memory books! The setup was perfect: we followed our guide Joe, who led the group in a tuk tuk, while we enjoyed the freedom of driving our own e-Jeep. It was the best of both worlds — independence with the added bonus of a knowledgeable guide showing us all the hidden gems and sharing fascinating insights at every stop. Joe was absolutely fantastic — friendly, informative, and clearly passionate about Gozo. His guidance made the day seamless and full of surprises. From stunning coastal views to charming villages, every moment was a delight. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for a unique and fun way to explore Gozo!

Disappointing and not as advertised

While our guide from a Tuk Tuk tour was good . We didn’t sign up for a Tuk Tuk tour. They put us in a little car / jeep and we followed a Tuk Tuk all day . Not what we signed up for !! Long day . Not enough “guide” info about Gozo . And itinerary was very different than advertised.

Not as advertised!

Not as advertised! We booked a self-drive guided tour of Gozo in a small, quiet electric-powered car as shown in the advert. What we got, eventually, was very different! Upon arriving on Gozo, we located our guide and were advised that we and another couple were passengers (not self-driving), in a large dune-buggy type vehicle. It was only when I showed the guide our self-drive confirmation, did he reluctantly tell us that we'd have to go to the "garage" to pick up another vehicle. The "garage" transpired to be a shed in a farmyard. After completing much paperwork and being advised we have to pay a considerable insurance excess in the event of any damage (not previously advised) we got underway. Our vehicle was not the small, quiet electric one advertised, but an extremely noisy dune-buggy identical to the one he collected us in. No electric vehicles in sight! To be in with a chance of conversing with your partner, you need to shout very, very loudly! Once underway, the tour was worthwhile. Our guide was good fun and we saw the hi-lights of Gozo. The lunch was nothing special, OK at best. Be careful. You'll be directed to be passengers in a vehicle. If you do manage to self-drive, it will be in a very noisy dune buggy and you have to agree to pay an insurance excess in the event of damage. Don't expect anything special for lunch!

A fun experience, especially if you self-drive!

Overall, this was a great way to see Gozo in one day and I would recommend it for those short on time, especially the self-drive option (if you are comfortable driving), as it added a fun element to the experience. However, I didn't give 5 stars as there were a few differences/clarification to the original tour description which could have been handled better. 1. Mini-van pick-up to the boat was perfect and on time (8am). We arrived at the port and got on the boat to Gozo with all the other people doing buggy/quad/tuktuk tours. 2. When the boat reached Gozo, it's chaos! Everyone is searching for their tour guide; all tours start from the port so it can take a while to find your guide as it's so busy. There's no explanation given, you just figure it out for yourself. We eventually left the port with our guide at 10am. 3. The biggest difference was the buggy - it was not electric but a petrol Segway buggy - the same that our guide/passengers was driving. Although it was still fun and perfectly ok, I was disappointed as I specifically booked the electric buggy to avoid the loud engine noise and petrol fumes from the normal petrol buggy, which I've driven before and wanted to avoid. The tour description should make it clear or we should be told in advance of the change. 4. We didn't stop at Ggantija temples, which was on the itinerary and a must see in Gozo - it wasn't explained why. 5. The other big confusion was the final stop at the Blue Lagoon. We boarded the boat with other tour passengers for the final swim spot at Blue Lagoon, however the boat stopped in the water off-shore and not on the coast, like most people thought. Most were wearing their normal clothes and there was no privacy on the boat to change into swimwear. So only a few people swam and others just sat on the boat for 20 mins. Although we were told there would be a swim stop, a little extra information about changing before boarding would have been helpful to the passengers.

Great day in Gozo!

First, we were given a Segway jeep instead of the vehicle shown in the photo, which we actually considered an upgrade! It was way more fun! Our driver leader for the day, David, was absolutely the best. We called him the mayor of Gozo, he knew everyone! Make sure you can drive yourself, it was way more fun that way, other guests had to be driven. Lunch was good, and all the sites we visited were awesome.
