Is the guide was amazing it was called a gourmet walking tour it was okay expected a little bit more in a gourmet walking tour
Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. We're delighted to hear your guide made the experience enjoyable, but we're sorry the culinary experience didn't quite live up to your expectations of a gourmet food tour. We appreciate your comments and will use them as we continue improving our tours.
It’s my new favorite tour I loved it! Nyle was top dawg
So happy you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for your feedback!
Fun filled day exploring and eating. Wide variety of food options. Something for everyone while enjoying the sites.
Thanks for your review! We’re so happy you had fun and enjoyed the food and sightseeing!
Fantastic! Faith was very entertaining with great stories and information and just out right nice. The food was yummy with full portions. In addition to scrumptious things like great dumplings and amazing Sharma, also had unique write home things such as the mushroom taco and persian cucumber ice cream. The locations were notable including posh superba. The tour guide Faith made the day special - make sure to ask for her!
Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled that Faith made the experience so memorable and that you enjoyed both the classic favorites and unique culinary surprises along the way. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with her! 😊
Our guide, Penelope, was extremely sweet and knowledgeable about the Hollywood area. My boyfriend and I are pretty introverted but Penelope was a great conversation starter and kept everyone engaged. Would do again!
Thank you for the lovely review—we’re so glad Penelope made the experience comfortable, engaging, and fun for you both! We’d love to have you join us again soon 😊
Waste of money. Don’t waste your time or money. It was more street/ fast food tasting. First stop was a dumpling venue where you get one dumpling only, second a tiny half of a Shawarma, third a fast food taco outlet where you get one of the tiniest soft mushroom tacos. fourth an actual restaurant where the only offer was a Kale salad shared between four people, the fifth was a Thai takeaway that was closed for renovations, the alternate venue turned out to be permanently closed, ended up at the Roosevelt pool side bar with a bowl of Korean chicken shared again between four people. I had to buy more food at that venue as everyone was still hungry. Finished at an ice cream shop. Not Gourmet at all, more of a scam really at a cost of $240 each and only about $70 food purchased for the whole group. Niall the guide, was friendly and informative.
We’re sorry this experience did not meet your expectations. Our Hollywood tour is designed as a curated tasting experience highlighting the diversity of Los Angeles food culture, including immigrant-owned and neighborhood restaurants. We select dishes for quality, flavor, and cultural relevance—not simply convenience or ambience. One scheduled stop was unexpectedly closed that day, and our guide provided a replacement venue and additional food so the tour could continue. At the Hollywood Roosevelt, guests received two dishes, Japanese-style fried chicken and tuna crudo, at a historic location connected to early Hollywood and the first Academy Awards. Because we design the tour, select the restaurants and menu items, and verify our restaurant charges after each tour, we are confident the guest’s food-value estimate does not align with our records. We appreciate the kind words about Niall, and as a small locally owned business, we take feedback seriously and strive to address concerns professionally.
Good food tour with Aphrodite. Included lots of facts and tips about the area as we walked through the neighborhood. Enjoyed the afternoon. This is my last attempt at reviewing this experience. If I'm forced to create an account, I will abandon this review. Thanks!
Thank you for joining us—we’re so glad you enjoyed the food and learning about Hollywood with Aphrodite! We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
The guide was incredible! We have been on food tours all around the world, & this was head & shoulders above the rest. Originally from France, the guide had an amazing knowledge of the local food scene in LA, as well as of the local culture & history. Kind, thoughtful, super knowledgeable & super informative. She wins the Oscar for best tour!!!
