Golden Hour & Afternoon Snorkeling

Amazing experience with Frank and the Capitán. They were great with the kids (13,11,6) and definitely made the entire snorkel trip worthwhile, even with subpar ocean visibility. We were able to see a parrotfish, several other tropical fish, a green leatherback turtle, sea cucumber, starfish, and tons of birds. The sunset was phenomenal. They even let the kids steer the boat! Private tours are definitely the way to go and I definitely recommend this one.

Pablo and Carmon were amazing. We had a great time with them! Make sure if you book your outing within 24 hours that you call Pura Vida to make sure that they are aware of the booking. We had an issue with that, but Pura Vida was able to book us a different day thank goodness.

We loved the afternoon. The crew was knowledgeable and kind and the food was delicious. We saw some interesting marine life and caught a beautiful sunset. Highly recommended for a low key, fun, interesting excursion.

Our trip with Frank and Carlos was 10/10. Amazing trip and the crew couldn’t have been more hospitable. We checked out two amazing snorkeling spots and Frank pointed out specific marine life, he was clearly very knowledgeable. Great energy, couldn’t recommend them more.

We took a private sunset snorkeling tour on 9/24/2025. We had an amazing time. Frank and Carlos were a wonderful crew. My dad, 76, has limited mobility from a stroke and they were both patient and helpful. On our journey to the first snorkeling spot, frank spotted a sea turtle and a whale. He was able to approach both of them for us to get photos and videos. At the first location, my mom had not snorkeled previously. Frank and Carlos helped and provided information for a positive experience. We had a helpful guide in the water that found puffer fish, lobster, and other things we would not have seen ourselves. Upon our return, they cut fresh pineapple and had drinks. We went to a second stop and had another good time. Frank and Carols made fresh guacamole with chips. We were able to see the sun setting on the ocean. i would recommend this trip over any of the other crowded tours.

Lots of fun, Captain Frank was awesome. Very relaxed and thoughtful and fun. Some of the snorkeling equipment could use refreshing but otherwise was everything we wanted and more. Plus great dips!!

Fantastic afternoon! Gorgeous fish, very safe and friendly for our family. We saw a gorgeous sunset at the end of the trip. Our hosts were very friendly and we learned a lot about Costa Rica and the area! Definitely recommend!

Had a wonderful experience! Our captain Frank took us to a great snorkeling area and kept diving to find fishes/octopus for us! On our way back we saw a great view of sunset & thunderstorm at the same time and we ran away from the rain! The food was also great! Frank prepared lots of cold drinks(water, soda, beers etc.), fruits, chips and cookies!
