Description

Everest Base Camp Trek with Gokyo Lakes via Cho-la is a beautiful combination for the adventurous trekkers to enjoy the nature and its beauty in the Everest Region. You will witness the series of beautiful turquoise lakes in the Gokyo valley and the famous Cho La Pass, panoramic views of mountains, including the highest mountain in the world-Mt. Everest, friendly Sherpas, Buddhist monasteries including Tengboche Monastery- the largest monastery in the Khumbu region of Nepal and of course, to the base of mighty Everest. The trek also awards us with the best viewpoints in the Everest region- Kalapatthar (5550m) and Gokyo Ri (5357m) from where the famous mountains like Mt. Everest (8848.86m), Mt Lhotse (8,516m), Mt. Makalu (8,463m), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m), Mt. Nuptse (7,855m) and many more can be seen. This trek is ideal for the trekkers who wish to take up more challenging and “stay off the beaten trail”.

On the mountain you can see the beauty of gokyo lake and also feel the thrill of Peak Peak

It is a great trip to see many natural landscapes, magnificent snow mountains, and meet all kinds of friendly people on the mountain.

Amazing trek in beautiful Nepal with great trekking company

This is an amazing trek, as the loop via Gokyo makes the route much more interesting. Crossing the Ngozumba glacier and Cho-la pass are experiences you will be unlikely to ever forget. Mountain Travel Nepal organized everything to a T. I received all the necessary information before departure and Ashok at the main office always replied swiftly to any emails. The actual trek started out great, as the staff at Mountain Travel were able to secure me a coveted and rare high season plane ticket to Lukla directly from Kathmandu (not Manthali Ramechhap). My trekking guide Surendra was amazing. He stayed by my side at all times, closely monitored my health throughout the trek (really seemed to care too) and we adjusted the trek a little when I showed signs of altitude sickness. He was very knowledgeable about the area and always managed to find me great places to stay (often in relatively luxurious rooms with ensuite bathroom where available). Mountain Travel also supplied me with things like a warm sleeping bag, crampons to cross the Cho-La glacier, and the occasional medicine. Mountain Travel Nepal totally lived up to its reputation as one of the oldest and best trekking agencies in Nepal. Although you might be able to find somewhat cheaper offers for treks out there, I would definitely go with Mountain Travel Nepal anytime.
