This is an introductory walking tour to the vibrant city of Glasgow. Bruce, our tour guide, was very informational and knowledgeable about the city and showed us every nook and cranny withing a walkable distance to Queens Street Station, a very central location. We were able to get a good taste of the city and left us with the desire to come back and spend more time!
3hours went very quickly . Michael was friendly and knowledgeable . Would recommend this tour of Glasgow
Sabrina was the best guide, she’s very sweet and she showed us every cool spot around the city!
Very good experience to know the important landmarks and the history of Glasgow. Sophie, our guide was very courteous and knowledgeable and was caring.
We walked for 3 hours and very little was explained to us on what we were seeing. Poor knowledge from our guide. His French accent was too strong for any of us to understand him. Very disappointed on the quality of this tour.
Excellent tour with a lot of good historical info and local color. Nice selection of sites in the city centre.
We had an amazing tour....but not with Michael, who was the tourguide who was assigned by viatour to show us Glasgow. You see, Michael the assigned tour guide didnt show up for our tour. He confirmed with us via whats app the day before, and advised specifically where we should meet (all good). But then, shortly after that exchange, he tried to change the time to 3.5 hrs later because he had just received (i kid you not) an "emergency tour request". I didnt see his request to change the time until later the evening before the tour, and suggested combining the tours. His response was "sadly they booked a private tour". He didn't actually confirm that he was canceling, so we texted him that we still planned to meet as scheduled. He never showed up, never responded to our "where are you?" pleas. Nothing. Incredibly unprofessional. We met another tour guide at the site from another organization and she took us with her group on a great tour! Viatour responded to us immediately when we contacted them to tell them we were abandoned, and immediately researched, attempted to set up another tour (timing would not work unfortunately) and then refunded our prepayment. We have had several good experiences with Viatours throughout the world. For this particular tour they apparently were working with a third party agency. I will watch and try to avoid tours where they are using these intermediary companies on future trips. This was truly disappointing. Watch out for Michael in Glasgow.
City Experience w/off the beaten paths sites with nuggets of history. Bruce was delightful, funny & inherently interested in Glasgows community. It was a great way to cover the city in a day and learn the city’s history.
Great tour! Bruce was very knowledgeable and showed us a great time. We highly recommend this walking tour. Even followed up to a question I had about the clocks.
Sophie could not have been more knowledgeable and entertaining on our tour of Glasgow!! She clearly loves the city knows the history and is just a joy!!!
