Running for the length of the Great Glen is the Caledonian canal. A most impressive feat of engineering the canal includes Neptune’s Staircase, the longest staircase lock in the UK. We will stop at Fort Augustus which the canal runs through and sits on the shores of Loch Ness. A great place to stop for lunch and enjoy fantastic views of the loch
