Your guide and manager will be waiting for you outside the Cruise docking spot. They will be holding a sign showing your name. It will be quite easy for you to identify them. Then you will proceed to your vehicle and start your tour.
After the drive south from Alexandria, you step onto the Giza Plateau and stand at the base of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, 2.3 million stone blocks that have held for 4,500 years. Your Egyptologist walks you to the panoramic viewpoint where all three pyramids align and down to the Great Sphinx, carved from a single limestone ridge. Time is focused given the cruise clock, but you get the real story, not a rushed photo stop.
A short transfer brings you to Saqqara, the vast necropolis of ancient Memphis, where the Step Pyramid of Djoser rises in six receding tiers. Built around 4,700 years ago by the architect Imhotep, it is the oldest large stone structure ever raised and the prototype for everything at Giza. Your guide points out how the design steps upward, an idea being tested in stone for the first time. With far fewer visitors than Giza, it is a calmer stop before the drive back to Alexandria.

The drive to Giza is approximately 3 hours each way, so this is a full-day shore excursion with significant transit. We track ship arrivals in real time and ensure you return with at least 2 hours of buffer before sail-away.

Excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide and excellent driver - could not have done it on our own given the chaos of the site
Our guide Jean and driver picked us up at the cruise port in Alexandria for the long drive to Giza and Saqqara. The vehicle was very comfortable and we were the only guests. Obviously, the pyramids were exceptional but the whole day was enhanced by Jean. He was easy to understand and he knew everything but he didn’t overdo the information he was providing for us. We really couldn’t have had a better guide. Anybody who is lucky enough to have Jean as their guide will certainly have a lovely day. The sightseeing was finished off with a very good late lunch.

Guide was waiting for us when we got off the ship. We were very early so was he. His knowledge of Egypt is exceptional. We had a very pleasant and informative day. I highly recommend him. Our driver was calm, cool, and in control through some of the most agressive driving we have ever seen. A great experience.

This is my first time in Egypt. Was thinking about the safety of Egypt before I come, yet this worry just cleared off once I arrived the airport.
