Our trip was filled with positive and negative experiences. First the negative- the description states your guide will meet you at the port. Apparently there were issues because our non English speaking DRIVER met us at the port. After confusion about where to meet (it’s not clear to anyone that you must walk a distance, over the bridge to meet private guides/tours) our driver found us. He was very nice but spoke very little English so we spent the next 3 hours quietly traveling to Cairo with no explanation as to what we were seeing. The driver attempted to answer questions but things got lost in translation. When we arrived in Cairo the driver pulled up to a curb in chaotic Cairo and indicated the guide would meet us at the museum! We are seasoned travelers but this was unacceptable. We asked him to wait until the guide came to us but he was eventually shooed away by the traffic officer. Our guide came to us (at my request) a few minutes later. Positive- Michael (pronounced Michelle) was very informative and his passion for the Egyptian Museum (old one) was evident. We were specifically wanting to see one piece and he was able to locate it. We saw many other pieces and he gave us information we hadn’t known before. Our driver then found us and travelled to see the pyramids and Sphinx. But on the way we made stops to the cotton market, a perfume market and a papyrus workshop…. I had specifically asked for no shopping. We did buy some papyrus artwork though. The pyramids and Sphinx were fascinating and Michael was able to educate us on history, construction and little known facts (to us at least). Lunch was at a lovely rooftop restaurant with views of the pyramids and was delicious. Our driver then met us and drove us back the 2.5+ quiet hours to Alexandria and the port. All in all, we felt safe for the most part and educated but the tour was not what we had hoped for.
One of memories we will save from our cruismd for ever was a trip to Giza&Cairo. We are really happy that we found you and your agency. Everything was as we/you arranged. The guide Samaa was very nice, edjucative, with a lot of knowledge, suggestions. In short time we saw everything planned and more - even went in the pyramide. The driver drove us safely to Port Said although the heavy traffic due to holiday on Friday. Nice music in the car! Excellent value for money trip!
Outstanding! Good car, good guide, very flexible. They waited for us more than 2 hours due to Cruise restrictions, we are really grateful for that. They have been very nice with us and the communication has been amazing, they have taken care of us every moment. They have also helped me to find a tour in Petra and Luxor. Thank you!
Egypt turned out to be a very last moment option for us and we had hardly got time to read each about the places to visit there. I’m glad to come across tour egypt club who helped us to organise the entire trip. They ensured our internal flights from Cairo to Luxor and when we landed in Luxor it’s was one of the best hospitality we had received from the driver to the guide who showed us around to Karnak Temple, Luxor temple, Valley of Kings and Hatshepsut's Temple. Our guide Mohamed Salem was very knowledgeable, with the given time he took us to all the important spots, explained each and everything well. Thank you Salem for making our visit worth, I will definitely recommend you to Salem if you’re planning to visit Luxor! Thank
Loved the tour, the chat agent Salma was very kind, responsive and helpful. Ahmed lsayed our guide was very funny and patient with us even when our flight delayed (and he takes really good pictures too). The vehicle is very comfortable (even had a place to puke when my brother felt car sick) driven by our driver Sami. We visited the Pyramids, learnt so much about Egypt, even got to inside them! We rode camels in the desert and I was a bit nervous but I'm so happy that I faced it. All I can say is I have no regrets and will definitely recommend Tour Egypt Club to a friend.
Ali Salama is the best guide we have ever had on a trip outside of the USA. Extremely knowledgeably, cared what we found interesting and focused on that stuff, and honest. Clearly an expert on history and the artifacts we looked at. And wanted to help with anything we needed outside of our tour. We will be recommending him to everyone who travels to Egypt that we know and will reach out to him again should we ever need a guide ourselves. If you get a tour from Ali, you’re lucky.
We had the best 2 days - it was everything we hoped for and more! Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, fun and made us feel safe at all times. They were flexible, very accommodating and made sure that we had the absolute best experience. Above and beyond, they even helped us with a small personal emergency that could have derailed our trip. I highly recommend them if you want to have the time of your life!
