Giza Pyramids and Sakkara Tour

We had a great time visiting Egypt with Memphis Tours! Monica, our tour coordinator, was fabulous and would bend over backwards to make sure we were taken care of. Tarek, our guide, was so knowledgeable and provided detailed history at every stop. This was our first time visiting Egypt and we couldn't have been in better hands.

I have not yet made the visit, but so far my customer service experience has been excellent. My advisor is Samah Rashady, and she has taken great care of me. I have already made a deposit, and I would like to know if there is a customer portal where I can check the status of my reservation and the payments made?

We were in Egypt for 8 days and did 1-2 tours a day with Memphis every day. The guides were excellent for the most part. very knowledgeable. It just got annoying when they basically started demanding X amount of tips, again this was only 1-2 guides but the the tour company itself. We were tipping very generously in USD to begin with especially compared to everyone else who was on the tours with us. The highlight of our trip was a photo shoot at the pyramids. This was for my wife's birthday and our wedding anniversary. the photographer did a great job. this was on day 1 and we were promised our photos (digital) and an album within 2-3 days. after day 4 we asked about it and were told the album was being made and it would be just another day. we still had a few days so we weren't too worried. the next day we were told it was finished and would be delivered. every day after that it was harder to reach the person who was in charge of our trip, it got to a point where we thought we were just going to be ghosted because we wouldn't hear back from them for the entire day when before this they would respond within minutes. They assured us that they just had to deliver it to us but always had an excuse for why it was not delivered. our last day of the trip we were told it would be at the hotel when we arrived, it was not. the following day the driver showed up and told us they were on the way to the hotel with our album. we waited out by the street for about 10 minutes and they never showed up. we were told by the driver and guide that we had to leave for the airport otherwise we would risk missing our flight. At this point the company was not answering our calls for the driver/guide. when we arrived to the airport they once again told us that the person would meet us there. this also never happened and we had to board our flight with a promise that they would ship it to us. at this point we demanded that they send us a digital copy before we leave. they sent a link to the guide that dropped us off and he forwarded it to us. this guide was extremely helpful in this situation, which had absolutely nothing to do with him in the first place. fast forward a few weeks, they tell us its been shipped but provide no shipping info. i keep demanding tracking info and they finally provide it. when the album arrived it was heavily damaged as it was only packaged in a plastic bag that the post office provides, no cardboard NO type of protection whatsoever. i send pics to Memphis and was told i would have to take it up with Egypt Post. after day 5 and especially the final day i could tell it was just lie after lie about our pictures/album. Just before we checked into our flight they told us that the driver was involved in an accident. After days of lies I had no reason to believe this was the truth. The majority of the trip was amazing as were most of the guides but this was a horrible way to end our trip.

Monica and Tarek were amazing and very knowledgeable and super helpful. I would recommend Memphis tours to anyone. Thanks again for the great trip.

The cruise on the Nile was excellent. The boat was very nice and very comfortable. The hotel in Cairo was wonderful. The tour guides made every temple, ruin, pyramid, museum a wonderful experience. The information given, explanations of what we were seeing were very thorough and helpful. The tour guides were fantastic! The entire experience was much more than I ever expected it would or could be. I would highly recommend the Egypt Tour to everyone.

We arrived on Friday and departed on Monday from Cairo. From the first minute to our departure, we were assisted and supported by Atia, our tour leader, who took care of everything for us. We arrived in the afternoon and had the evening free, but we immediately organized a visit to the tower, a felucca ride, and a traditional dinner. A fantastic evening. We had excursions booked from Italy, but then we added others, all perfectly coordinated by him and managed by a guide in Italian. Our guide, Osama, who accompanied us to museums and archaeological sites, was irreplaceable; without him, we would not have appreciated the wonders we saw in the same way. A polyglot Egyptologist, a deep connoisseur of history and traditions, extremely cultured and available, who not only provides you with data and information but also immerses you in the spirit of the place and makes you experience it; the kind of person we all wish we had as a professor! And he is also extremely friendly! A special note for our driver; those who know Cairo understand that driving in that metropolis feels like being in a video game for us Europeans, who accompanied us everywhere and made us feel safe and calm at all times. For us, a family with three kids aged 17, 11, and 9, everything was perfect, and when we return to Egypt, we will certainly do so with them.

Choose Memphis tours, Ahmed Rabie is the best tour manager. His team was excellent and very courteous and prompt. They hire the best local guides and we saw the pyramids, grand Egyptian museum,Karnak, abu Simbel and so much more.

I did a custom week long solo tour through Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor and it was great. Everything went shockingly smooth from airport pickups, meeting with guides, and doing other various activities. Their communication was really good and i never felt confused on where to be or when to be there. My guides were amazing, particularly Amin in Cairo and shaimaa Baheeg in Luxor. They were passionate about their jobs and also gave me the freedom to do what I wanted, not following a particular script. I would recommend this agency if you’re going to Egypt and don’t know where to start. My only negative was Aswan. It added a 3 hour drive from Aswan to Luxor and I don’t think it was worth it since I was only in Aswan for a day. Aswan would definitely be worth it, but you’ll want to spend at least a few days there since some of the sights are a decent drive away from the city which I didn’t have time for.

Everything went perfectly, our coordinator Mustafa Rafat, was attentive to us at all times, nothing is randomly delivered. We had problems with the bags with IBERIA and Mustafa accompanied us until 3 am at the airport in order to recover our 100% grateful things. Obviously Mephis is available to tourists. At no time are you alone. The only thing to criticize is that our giza guide, asked him to buy cheap clothes (iberia delayed our luggage) and took us to a place that in theory was local and clearly was a tourist place where he took commission.
