The goal of this day trip is to take you away from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona and, to let you enjoy the Mediterranean breeze. This experience has been designed for the outdoors, art, and nature lovers. As soon as we leave Barcelona we immerse ourselves in the Catalan countryside. The first stop is Girona (Game of Thrones?). A perfect mix of history, architecture, and...food! We will take a nice stroll through the narrow streets of the Old Town and the Roman Walls. Right after we will move into the Catalan Countryside, we deserve to be surrounded by nature. The second stop is Peratallada, probably the most charming and less-known medieval village in the Empordà region. A nice stroll around and a few pictures later we will take you for lunch at Calella de Palafrugell, an old fishing village formed by several coves that still preserve the charm of the villages of the area, with narrow streets and some traditional two-floor fishermen’s dwellings. Meeting point and drive from Barcelona to Girona
Built circa 1877 and perhaps the most famous bridge in Girona made by Mister Eiffel, yes the same one of the Eiffel Tower. We will walk over the bridge on our way to the old town.
One of the most famous Game Of Thrones locations in the Girona old town today part of the Girona university. We will stop here for a few minutes to take pictures and to enjoy the views.
The second widest gothic nave in the world built in the 1733. We will walk up towards the gothic side of the Catedral on our way to the watch tower.
One of the 12 wine regions in Catalonia. Drive from Girona to Peratallada. Scenic drive surrounded by lot of green and agriculture.
One of the most magical and better-preserved medieval villages in Spain located in the hearth of Catalonia with a population of 9. We will show you the village around.
Drive from Peratallada to Calella de Palafrugell into a secondary road with a lot of agricolture.
An old fisherman village located in the heart of Costa Brava. We will provide you 2 hours free time to go for lunch and a swim.

We were lookingforward to tour but, the day before we met a person who lived in Girona. He expressed his concern that the Girona portion would probably be too strenuous for my husband. We contacted Viator to get more specific information but the agent had to eventually end the chat because it timed out without getting an answer. We decided not to go and canceled. We eventually got an answer, which if it had been received earlier we could, and would, have decided to go. But the reply had come at approx 11:30am the morning of the tour which had departed 3 hours before, at 8:30am. This is the first time we have had an experience like this Viator - we have been very satisfied in the past.
Our tour guide (Senny) was awesome, fun, knowledgeable and professional. I recommend him to anyone.
We had relaxing time out of busy streets of Barcelona to enjoy scenery village and beach of Costa Brava. Don't forget to bring your swim suit.

First of all, the small group size is wonderful. We ended up it just being the two of us because other people booked multiple tours and didn’t realize they did that so we got Papa bear to ourselves and couldn’t have a better guide. personality was amazing very knowledgeable and just all around a beautiful and amazing experience. The day went by so fast. We were kind of bummed out that we didn’t have more time to spend with him. All three places we stopped for magical and beautiful. The surroundings were just astonishing. Thank you very much for this tour. we would highly recommend to anyone.

Our daytrip from Barcelona to the Costa Brava was phenomenal. we had so much fun with our Guide,Papa Bear, that a relatively long day went by so fast. He is a terrific storyteller and has an encyclopedic memory for historical facts and statistics that was astonishing and SO interesting! The itinerary was solid and varied, and everything we saw was worth our time in the car and on foot. Don’t hesitate to take a day trip with BOB and consider yourself very lucky to get papa bear as a guide.

Had an amazing trip to Costa Brava. We were already very excited about the itinerary but the tour exceeded our expectations. It was a great mix of sightseeing but also quiet moments to savor the scenery and experience. We would like to extend a deep thank you to our guide Yiorgis (aka Papa Bear). He made the tour a fun, one of a kind, informative experience. He gave us facts about food, history, culture that deepened our experience and made for engaging conversations. He was a delight to spend the day with and get to know, as were our other tour mates. Highly recommend this trip for anyone wishing to explore Costa Brava!!
