Wonderful experience! Great guide! We picked a short private trip for Christmas Eve and St. Michaels cave felt very festive. As it was the holidays we had the monkeys almost to ourselves! Gorgeous sunny day to work our way up the rock, visit the siege tunnels and learn the history of Gibraltar. My daughter was particularly interested in the land reclamation efforts as well. Highly recommend this tour! We also had a Marbella transfer that brought us to the border crossing and met us again at the end of the tour. Very well orchestrated!
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! It’s fantastic to hear that your Christmas Eve tour in Gibraltar was such a memorable experience. St. Michael’s Cave must have been magical with its festive atmosphere, and having the monkeys almost to yourselves sounds like a real holiday treat! We’re glad your daughter found the land reclamation efforts so fascinating—it’s always great to see younger travelers engaging with the history and unique features of Gibraltar. It’s also great to know that the logistics, including your Marbella transfer, worked seamlessly to make your day stress-free. Thank you for recommending our tour! We hope to welcome you back for more adventures in the future. Warm regards, The Tours in Malaga Team
The description states that you will have time to stroll the city's main promenade with time to shop and explore. That is not included in the half day tour and needs to be removed from the description. Tom is an excellent tour guide, but the description of the tour is deceiving. We paid almost $1000.00 for a 4 person private tour and felt like it was not a good value. An hour of it was just getting to the border. We enjoyed what we saw but left feeling disappointed. We took a similar tour to Ronda and we had a much more complete tour for $230 less than what we paid for this one.
Dear Michelle, You booked 4 hrs trip . You agreed with the itinerary and description at the time you booked it. If you didn't agree you could have cancelled it with no penalty. Our description on this 4 hrs trip doesn't state "stroll in the city's main promenade with time to shop and explore" but we do have it in a similar tour with longer hours in Gibraltar . We explained you this already but you confirmed us that you didn't want to pay for a full day tour, reason why the stroll in the city was not included. The time you spend in the border is nothing to do with us. We garantee you 4 hrs trip regardeless the time you spend in the border. Moreover, you had 1.5 hrs more than you booked (between Border timing and your request for buying your meal) but you didn't value it. On the other side it's not possible to compare Ronda with Gibraltar without knowing the entry tickets you paid for and without understanding that this two destinations belong to 2 different countries with different prices. Nature Reserve tickets was included in your Gibraltar tour. No idea about was included in Ronda tour you said you did. Glad to know that you liked the tour in the Nature Reserve. In fact the tour you paid for.
Our guide, Tom, was excellent!!! Very knowledgeable and friendly. My grandsons loved the monkeys. The driver was on time and professional.
Wonderful guide. Very informative and personable. Great experience. The tour service did not convey the tour end time very well, but that was not the tour guides fault. Wish we had more time to explore on our own.
Tom was great!!!! He was so engaging and personable and actually knew many monkeys by name. We loved our experience!
Lovely trip. The tour, Tom, guide knew Gibraltar to perfection. The guy that drove us from Malaga was very kind and professional and kept his vehicle in pristine condition. Great trip.
So much history and interesting facts! You can tell Tommy loves his job, he gives his tours with so much enthusiasm and energy!
Pick up from resort was very convenient We did a private tour to Gibraltar with 2 other couples / 6 total people. We were handed off at the Spain border and walked through without issues - passport required. Picked up by a guide/driver in Gibraltar. He was wonderful! Enthusiastic and informative. We tend to spread out and he kept us corralled enough so we could all hear the information. We learned so much about Gibraltar with gorgeous views! We were quite enamored with the monkeys but we didn’t feel rushed. We all loved the experience. He suggested a lunch place and picked us up after lunch for transport back to the border and picked up by our Spanish driver back to our hotel. Easy walk back into Spain. We all agreed it was worth the trip.
My family and I spent half a day visiting Gibraltar. We left Mijas and with an hour and a half we arrived. Parking ok and price in line with the coast. We made tickets to visit the Rocca including a private bus before passing the document check, very expensive tickets: for 2 adults and 2 teenagers 80 €, 2km bus Service + funicular to the Rocca. Taking the funicular, very old and badly maintained, we arrived at the top where there is a beautiful view, some cute monkeys and nothing else. For the haze you could not see Africa and the place is really badly kept, dirty and maintenance-free: falling concrete walls full of writing. Then there's a bar with gadget sales put a little better. I forgot, I also liked the hundreds of migratory birds of prey that were flying over us at that time. Experience definitely not to be repeated.
We loved the guided tour of this famous site. The history, the monkeys, the lighted cave all so inspiring and fun!
Thanks for your review. We are happy to know that you enjoyed the tour so much. Don't hesitate to contact for further tours during your stay on the Costa del Sol
