Giants Causeway Coast Sea Kayaking

Description
Sea kayaking in Ireland is an activity on the up and offers the opportunity to get close to nature and to travel to places inaccessible by any other form of transport. We run four different routes on the Giants Causeway coast for different abilities and to accommodate the weather and sea forecast. The route that passes the Causeway itself is an exciting paddle that requires competent kayaking skills. We use many other routes suiting beginner to intermediate kayaking skills such as via Dunluce Castle and the magical cliffs at Whiterocks and from Ballintoy to Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge. Giant’s Causeway coastline is undoubtedly one of the most popular tourism locations in Ireland, so it can get busy on the walking traditional route. Spending a half a day exploring the area surrounding the Causeway is a fulfilling and fascinating experience. Sea caves, smugglers coves and geology abounds in the short stretch of coastline to either side of the Causeway itself.

As a kayak guide, safety is most important, especially on the unpredictable coastline. Lorcan was a great guide, safe and informative as well as very knowledgeable about the geology and history which was an extra treat. The views were stunning and was a lot of fun rock hopping on our way back. I will definitely be doing this again.
Great to have someone so keen on the water Mike- thanks for being understanding about how to approach the seals. We operate under WISE principles which are marine mammals specific. Keeping our distance was the right thing to do and I think the mum was in the water suggesting we do that- so all worked out really well
We had a wonderful time on the sea kayaking tour, Darren was an amazing guide! He couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful and did everything possible to make it really enjoyable for us. Would highly recommend!

A massive thanks to Darren and Michelle for a bespoke and outstanding kayaking tour. Darren and Michelle were attentive and engaging throughout the tour. The kayaking was challenging but not too tough, the scenery was stunning and we even got to see some of the resident seals. A real treat and the perfect way to end our holiday. Thank you! We could not recommend this enough.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We loved having you out on the Causeway Kayak Tour. Definitely a great way to end your holiday. Hope to see you on another Far and Wild adventure in the future.
Kayaking trip from Ballimtoy harbour to Carrick - a- Rede. We had a fairly specific request as to where we wanted to go and that we wanted to bring our 11 year old son. Far and Wild understood exactly what we wanted. Our guide, (Lorcan), made a good assessment of our kayaking ability on the day and then took us on an incredible trip.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are delighted you had an incredible trip. We loved sharing this special Kayaking experience with you. We hope to see you on another Far and Wild adventure in the future.

I booked on to the tour for my fiance's birthday - and we both absolutely loved it. We met our guide in a small car park near the Giant's Causeway, we had a short briefing, were provided with wetsuits and booties, and then we were away! Seeing the Giant's Causeway like this was totally unique, and absolutely fascinating. I would highly recommend it. Darren, our guide, was very knowledgeable, supportive, and patient, and really helpful when it came to navigating us around the coast. 10/10, would definitely book again.
hi Drew, great to have you out on such a cool day- the swell was bigger than normal but you both handled it very well and you got to see the seal :) Extra bonus as they were hiding lol!
We had such a great time! Darren was our guide and he was great. We were comfortable in the big swells and choppy water, and he took us through all the fun spots behind and between little islands. I highly recommend it.
Thank you Gretchen for booking with us and for your lovely review. I'm glad you had a good tour and insightful view of the Causeway from the kayak
Marvellous four hour trip with Darren along the Causeway coast. Seals, dolphins and peace and quiet. Darren was excellent and didn’t mind that we had to be reminded which way to put on a wetsuit! I would recommend to anyone and would love to do this again.
I think you got the lucky day Fiona, I haven't managed to spy the dolphins up there myself yet, so well done. Thanks for the great review!

We went on the causeway kayak tour with Darren from Far & Wild recently. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Darren is a great guide, professional, knowledgable and patient. The tour was fun and we had fabulous views of the coast, and some up close encounters with the marine life. Can’t recommend highly enough, give it a go!
