Tina was very knowledgeable about Ghent! I highly recommend this tour!
I'd give this zero stars if I could. At 9:51 on the scheduled date of the walk - which was to begin 9 minutes later at 10:00 - I received a Whatsapp text asking if I would be ok with changing the start time to 12:30. My husband and I had a commitment back in Brussels at 2:30, so the later start time wasn't a workable option for us. The sender said they were "sorry to hear that" and then, at 9:54, cancelled the walk. Never mind that we'd spent money on train and tram tickets to travel to Ghent specifically for the walk. Yes, the charge for the tour is in the process of being refunded. But unless the guide had some sort of an 11th hour emergency, there's no excuse for cancelling at literally the last minute. Suggest considering other providers that offer Ghent guided walks.
The tour was casual, informative, and rightly-paced. Mila was knowledgeable, friendly, and took ours (and hers) interest into consideration when talking about the beer culture of Belgium!
The guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable ref the subject of old Ghent....took us to some very good out of the way places
Anna was an exceptional guide. She is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate about Ghent, and full of fascinating stories and historical insights that brought the city to life. The tour felt less like a formal tour and more like spending the afternoon with a friend who knows all the best spots in town. We explored many of Ghent’s highlights, learned so much about the city’s history and culture, and received fantastic recommendations for local food, chocolate, and coffee. One of the coffee spots Anna recommended was honestly one of the best coffees I’ve ever had and is something I’ll remember long after this trip. Ghent itself is absolutely magical and was one of the highlights of my time in Belgium. If you’re visiting Belgium, I highly recommend both the city and this tour with Anna. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish.
The lady that gave us the tour in Ghent was magnificent, her name is Anna. She know everything about Ghent, old history, new aspects of the city.
We really enjoyed our walking tour around Ghent with our guide, Anna. She knew exactly where to take to us and filled us in on all the history. The weather (wet and windy) did not stop her from making the tour interesting and she kept our spirits up the v v whole time. Thoroughly recommend.
Mila was a very knowledgeable guide and showed us many highlights. We especially liked the street art. Would do it again! Thanks Mila!
Anna was very knowledgeable and personable. She tailored her tour around what we wanted to learn. We asked a lot of questions and she could answer all of them. We learned so much! We were able to get a better understanding of culture and life in Belgium. I would highly recommend this tour with Anna!
Great historical tour of Ghent. This was my 3rd time in Ghent; we were very happy with the tour. Tour director was on time and we moved at a good pace.
